Thank Kirri:-)
I am so envious of the produce on your allotment you have done so well.I have picked 6lb strawberries but that is all so far I just need to wait a while for the rest of the produce. My asparagus seeds a packet of 10 seeds all germinated and planted in growing bags as no room in beds at the moment so very pleased with them:-)
Booked a 11 day stay on Isle of White...Waitrose here I come:-)
Dinner will be Calcannon, fish cake, peas I shall have salad and couscous.

Recent freezer movements:
OUT - pasta sauce, with pasta for tea yesterday, with enough left over for another portion to go in the fridge for another day (not today, though, too hot for a big meal!)
IN - spicy Moroccan couscous & apricot not-in-the-tagine-in-the-slow-cooker-instead stew, for tea Thursday, plus two portions for the freezer; one of my faves, easy to make, and good value too (used up some store cupboard bits as well).
I'm ahead in the food stakes this weekend, as I called in to see my mum and dad this afternoon, and my mum insisted on me taking some food with me (tomato & marscapone sauce, and spinach & walnut ravioli, from Sainsbury); it was actually from my sister, as she and the family are off on holiday today, so passed on some near-sell-by-date food to my parents.
And my mum wouldn't take 'no' for answer - mums don't, do they? I bet it's the same the world over, when sons and daughters visit parents, the mums always insist on them taking some food away with them.
But I'm a little the same. When friends call round, for whatever reason, they usually leave with some edible goodies; a mate called round earlier in the week to help out with some DIY, and he left with a bottle of HM chipotle sauce and a tub of HM pizza sauce.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Same here, I never escape without some food lol.
On the other hand, I nearly always make cakes when I have visitors.
No food used here today, out all day, how hot was it!
WP - good strawberry crop then, they've been fantastic this year here, eaten SO many.. I guess my plot may be a bit ahead here due to the generally warmer temps in London?0 -
For tea, I have taken a mince base out of the freezer which will last for today and Tuesday. Also have taken out some homemade tomato sauce for tonight, will need to take another out for tomorrow. Will be having this with pasta (approved food special). I was going to make some garlic bread however as my darling gentleman is at work till 11 it will have to wait till another night. I then have leftover rhubarb crumble for pudding.
Into the freezer will gog my reduced pack of peppers that I got at the co op for 99 pence, although strictly speaking 90 pence with my OH staff discount. Blanched then frozen. I also will make a chocolate cake (the boiling water and oil type) section it, cling film it and freeze it. It freezes really well and makes for a good quick pudding. I also bought gammon at lidl for £3, bargain, so will cook this and then cube it (to make something a bit like cubed bacon/pancetta). I then freeze this in portions and then in a zip lock bag and this makes a quick addition to cheesey pasta.
I need to stock take my chest freezer tonight. I plan to get a whiteboard or something tonight from asda and then i can keep track as its completely full and i have NO idea what is at the bottom
Money money money.

Tonights dinner is the bolognese I defrosted yesterday, we had some last night and there is enough for another two days although not sure if it will last another day? If it will last then that is tomorrows dinner sorted as well. Grated cheese from freezer, do have some stinky cheese in fridge as well too.
For pudding I have some crumble left over and thinking I will make Liam a chocolate pudding whilst i have the rest of the crumble.
I have some part baked baguettes in the cupboard so plan to make garlic butter for garlic bread. Might make garlic butter and freeze it in discs actually for the future.
Yesterday I purchased 3 organic chicken legs for £1.50 (half price) at the co op. No make that £1.35 with OH staff discount. So they are cooked and in the fridge ready for two days time.
There is another pack in the freezer (not doing so well at reducing the freezer however I am using all the stuff that does need using up).
I have carrots in fridge to use up so plan to make carrot cake and freeze that tonight (If I can find any room!).Money money money.
