I draw at random, but I will favour people nearby, and put people who try and make out how deserving they are to the bottom of the pile.0

On my freecycle their is someone asking for items to be sold at a charity shop and they are willing to pick the items up, so as i got loads of items i sent them a message to say what i have got and it would be best for me to drop the items off to them but i just haven't had a reply.0

I put a half-working PS2 on once... had an email from someone wanting it for premature babies... blimey they were starting on the high scores early!
We have the same people who ask every single day for things - usually it's stuff like OFFERED: Jam Jar lid, slightly used... WANTED: 3 piece suite - must be beige leather - from them.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
My mums local Freecycle had a Citroen Piccasso on offer....for the princely sum of £1300:eek:
My Mum sent a request for it.
Saying " My daughter is looking for a new car" adding "its such a generous thing to do, giving away such a valuable car".
She did not get a reply:rotfl:Slimming world new starter 2/1/17:D:DWeight loss so far 5 stone 8 lbs

Perhaps your doors are not being taken up because you may not be describing them well enough?
Are you giving the full dimensions, colour, condition - fixings - any photo's etc?
The better something is described the better chance it will be taken.
Or perhaps at the moment no one is doing the DIY that requires some doors?
I have 3 big stanley sliding mirror doors in my bedroom I got from Freecycle, my son also has one leaning on the wall in his bedroom (the spare lol). I was glad of them.0 -
I once offered a couple of bags full of childrens clothes..
However, I had 2-3 responses from people asking questions such as "are they clean", "do you smoke", "how new are they"!
I never expected the Spanish Inquisition!!
And you weren't even offering a comfy chair or soft cushion. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Sadly it's not been updated for over 2 years. Bring it back, I say!Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
