I have tried to join my local Freecycle, but it doesn't let me - I'm not sure why. I have three sliding wardrobe doors (one mirrored) that I want to get rid of. I don't think I'll bother trying again to join if it's turning into a joke.
In the meantime, anyone want three sliding wardrobe doors......0 -

Only if you don't mind holding onto them whilst I sell them on ebay, then deliver and install. And if they're not oak, I reserve the right to be both a beggar and a chooser.0 -

When you joined was it on my.freecycle or Yahoo groups?
Many groups still ask for a location from you when you join, you get an immediate email sent to the registered email address (amongst some other emails) and often people just dont read what they are sent, so ignore the email and no response means no membership.
Also people join and do not look at what they are doing and agree to use the Yahoo email address, so the email goes to that and they dont read it there either.
Just a suggestion for why you are not being allowed to join.
Statistically, the OFFER/WANTED posts are at about 50:500 -
