I could be wrong - but I think, that he thinks, he has shown interest and now its up to you to make the next move! bit garbled but do you see what I mean?
its quite acceptable for you to ask how the kitten is doing - if he invites you to come and see for yourself - hes interested!
if he just replies kitten doing well thanks - then it was prob just him being friendly.

You text him and say "thank you for a great night on Friday and I hope we can do it all again very soon"!!!

Please dont leave it until next weekend, poor lad is probably thinking he messed up on Friday because you havent contacted him to say thank you. He was the one who invited you to his and it would only be polite to make contact and say thank you, whether you were interested or not.

Completely agree with this. The end of the week is far too late to contact. You could simply send as others have said, a message to say you really enjoyed the other night, and if he was keen you would like to do it again.

Men pretend to be very cool about dating situations, but they aren't always, he's probably fretting looking at his phone every ten minutes thinking why hasnt she text me yet!

Totally agree with the others, return the sentiment and ask him to yours to try out those wine glasses!

I was talking to a male friend of mine a while back and he said that really women should just come out with it and say what they think because generally speaking blokes don't analyse what you say and what you do, they have to be confronted with the bleeding obvious and that means you need to ask him out.

Far far far too long to wait if you are interested, listen to the others on here!

Text him to thank him for the other night, ask how the kitten is doing. When you get a reply, if it sounds favourable, ask him out.

Waiting is playing games, you are too old for this (ie I assume you are not a teenager anymore, not that you are too old lol!).

My husband had to be more or less whacked over the head with a mallet saying 'I fancy you!' to actually figure out that I liked him! :rotfl:

A friendly text saying what the others have suggested, 'Had fun, lets do it again', will show that you're still interested and it could lead to a proper date... but don't wait! Men are just as shy as women when it comes to putting themselves out there!
