Hello there - just scanned a bottle of Kendermanns organic white (2006) at Tesco's, expecting the price to be £5.29.....and was very surprised to find the price on my receipt as £2.64! Don't know if this was a complete fluke, but just saved £2.65 and it's a nice drop of wine!!!

........it's worth checking online prices, then using some Mr T vouchers for Double Value on wine(it's a new heading within Clubcard Deals)if these half-price offers are replicated there.
Yes, I know Deals are worth 4Xface value, but SOME of Mr T's wine prices, halved(champagne, too)would not be trop mal.
re: your buy. Are you saying the scanner and EPOS prices were different?
Disrupts our DTD's - tsk tsk Mr T!:naughty:

Afraid these have gone - related back to the R&R fun at Tesco.

This thread looks primarily at DTD - lots less fun...

Technically it is not a misprice and therefore not eligible for DTD. It is just a cashier error than should be recitified by refunding the scanned amount.

A misprice (and DTD) is when you are charged a higher price than that on the product or shelf, this has not happened.

When Mr T replaced R&R with DtD, the "double scan" was explicitly mentioned on their website as the only time you would get your money back and keep the product. I don't think that statement is there now, but I'm sure that's what happened. Obviously, they didn't think they could manage to o/c people by more than half price at that point.

ampersand - I raised an R&R'd glass of bubbly on the anniversary, but as they say, "the King is dead, long live the King".........

Not if the manager doesn't understand 'double the difference' - mangoes are priced at £1.18 but coming up at £1.28 at our Tesco Local (Chelmsford) - I queried the price and pointed out the DTD on display.

I got a free Mango and £2.36 (double the price) back - who was I to argue ;)?

I sometimes shop in Chelmsford - was it Princes Road or Springfield Road? I fancy a free fruit salad!

Don't remember leaving you in charge McDonut.

Seem to recall that you caused many problems on the old Discussion Thread.

Close the door on your way out ;)

Nah, just stay and be good.

    Dude

No, you are wrong again, Dud. It wasn't me causing the problems, it was the jealous ones that were causing all the probs when I made thousands out of the XBox and other console misprices. I just reported what I got from Mr. T and they all let the green man take over.

Can I just ask how you managed to get that amount of clubcard points? I use coupons etc but get only a tiny fraction of the points you are getting
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

Hi Ampersand.....the shelf-price was definitely listed as £5.29, but when I scanned it through the self-service till, it came up as £2.64! I had a voucher for 'spend £5 or more on wine, get 100 extra points' and went for the cheapest white on the shelf that was over a fiver....however, to my surprise, the self-service wouldn't let me scan the coupon, because the wine came up at half the price!!!! Should have bought two!!!! Always nice to speak to a fellow Scot ;)
