The thing is though if you have the picture on the phone/camera they cant really take it off you, remember they are breaking the trading law and im sure it wouldnt look good in a newspaper0

Not if you're a shareholder! One [STRIKE]lifetime entry pass to all Tesco stores[/STRIKE] share in Tesco is currently a bargain at £4.09.0 -

This is sometimes used to deal with problem people before the problem is created(shoplifters, drunks, vandals etc.)
Usually the phrase is "Sir/Madam, your custom and presence is no longer welcome on these premises and we would like you to leave." sometimes followed by(depending on the reason) "Failure to do so may result in the police being called."
Not quite. This is what I normally do.
Buy the product, get charged too much, pay for it and take it back to your car. Then go back in with the item in it's tesco bag, go check the SEL "coz you think you may have been overcharged" take the pic and then approach CS.
You can say to CS "I just got back to the car and noticed I have been overcharged. I have just checked the shelf and it states it should be £x and I have been charged £y."
I always make sure the word overcharged coz if they agree the price is wrong they are confirming it is an overcharge and cannot get out of DTD.
Also know what you should be getting back as DTD so you know you are getting the right amount. If they give back less then you can challenge it. Sometimes they work it out wrong in your favour and then it is up to your conscience to decide if you say anything. eg I was overcharged £1.85 a long time ago and was expecting £3.70 refund. It was part of multisave and they did not spot it and gave me back £4.50. OF COURSE I TOLD THEM OF THEIR ERROR AND HANDED BACK THE 80p  (Ahem!)0 -

I queried something today that I had been overcharged for, and I only got the difference back - no £2 voucher - so I guess they don't do this anymore?
I have emailed them though to query this.0 -

I had this also, went to CS, only got difference back, I wasn't sure they still did the giftcard so didn't query. I emailed customer service and got £4 voucher in the post and an apology letter.0
