  • Tesco to make their delivery drivers do a 12 hour shift with one 1/2 hour break?

Do you have evidence to prove this?

It is actually illegal as HGV driving hours require 45 minute breaks for every 4.5 hours of driving, the 45 minutes can be split over the 4.5 hours. 15 minutes then a 30 minute break but the 2nd break must be for 30 minutes. In this time they are not allowed to do anything that could be classed as work like unloading etc.

If you have the evidence then pass it on to the correct authorities. If it was the case I am sure the tachograph systems would have picked it up.

But yes Tesco is screwing over everyone else to do what they do, I only shopped there for the freebys when r+r was running I have had a few select DTD's since when the over charge has been more than the SEL so I got the item free and a little more. (for the newbies SEL is shelf edge label)

I don't think Tesco delivery vans have tachographs do they?
    Quotes in context only please.

The vans wouldn't but the lorries would: perhaps that's what's causing confusion here?

What do you think of this one.

At the end of the aisle, 5-in-one dishwasher tabs 30's with 50% free = £6.78

On the normal shelf, the same packs but the sel states £4.50 for 30's

Now, I got dtd back for the overcharge but increasing the box size stating 50% free but putting the price up by a 50% is a bit off
    Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £0
  • That's the Tesco we know and hate....
