Leadhead - I phoned my local TS officer today and all the TS have in the way of any 'punishment' for Tescos when they display out of date sels is to log them down as 'misleading advertising' against the store. I pointed out what you said about dates being on everything to cover the stores better, and was told this was something the stores COULD NOT get away with as a way of avoiding misprices at the till. I was only relaying the information that I found out today but if someone else on the forum can say it's wrong I will go with that as well. I was expressing it because there are a lot of newbies on here at present who might feel that fighting to the bitter end is the way to go.

I appreciate what you say, and wasnt doubting that is what you were told....hence my first line......"i believe you have been told this".......however...its still incorrect.

Basically what we need is "the answer" when this is quoted.......I'm sure this will be somewhere in "Consumer Law"....that is why I asked for MUNT or Ben500 to help my reply.

We all really. need to be armed with the correct reply, when confronted with this answer from CS.

It certaiinly wasn't a dig at you..........

:T i agree! TE needs to realise by upseting people on this board it will couse them to react! And all that does is make people who work for Tescos look like him/her/it!

I try to be as nice to the people in Tescos as i can. I only get shirty if they are being nasty to me. (and boy have some been nasty)

At the end of the day i work for a company that doesnt treat its staff or patrons with respect. So i would not like to slagged off just because i work for them.

I think youve missed TE's purpose here

This is exactly why TE posts in this manner.

He knows he will get peoples backs up.

He knows people will get so annoyed they will answer.

TE has turned back into the Troll he was when he first posted.

Of course we are all presuming here that the TE identity, is only one person.........for all we know the TE identity may be shared by various HO employees......hence, some sensible, articulate posts, so reasonable posts, and a lot of Troll posts.

    Dont fall into the trap.

    Please remember....Dont feed the Trolls

They can only go on trolling......if we feed them.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Don't you think this policy has been fully thought out by Tesco?? - By the way look out for the bulk buying policy changes and also make sure you read the small print on the new policy when it gets displayed in-store;)

hopefully it will be thought out to their usual standards people can't believe the sort of free stuff I have had consoles ,games ,beer, my meat paid for every week oh and the phones
yes please let it be to tescos usual standard

LOL .... I just came by to see what's new on MSE misprice discussion and thought "WOW 4 pages in just a few hours!"

But alas, it turns out it's just Tesco Employee being unconstructive and taunting about a policy change that hasn't been confirmed or denied by anybody in authority.

If you intend to come over TE, to Every Little Penny Forum, then please be aware that you will have to behave yourself. :A

    But you ARE welcome.

    This bugs me.............

Although I have been invited a few times and guaranteed entry with only superficial vetting....

(meaning I tell you I am leadhead but wish to be know as "whatever") and you let me in.

This is to show I can be trusted and to verify who I am.

Then you welcome TE into your forum, knowing that he will report all the misprices back to his employer.

Am I missing the point of your new forum after all.

  • just spent ages catching up with this thread so sorry if i've already missed this. some people appear to have had success with the pebl phone (£20 off with £20 spend) but the sel actually says in v small wording that the £20 spend must be on airtime - anyone been picked up on this and managed to argue their case as writing too small to notice?
CS in store i saw it today is a complete cow and will try to get out of r+r any way possible (got her on two oasis cds today though).

There is no vetting, Ole made that quite clear on several occassions, you were made welcome and you still are. TE constantine, Spa and anyone else have been welcomed with opens arms- why? because there are two sides to a coin.

The point of the new forum is obvious for all to see, which is why people have been flooding to join, so much so we have lifted all entry restrictions because we simply cannot keep up !. I would also say that the new forum is much easier to navigate and find the information your looking for !, misprices in an easy to read format (clutter free ! and no more annoying discussion on the misprices only thread) easy to find scanner locations, a trade centre to swop your r&r's....and so much more !

but hey nobody has ever forced your hand.

    keep up the good work

    Newbies more than welcome !!

Apparently some of the signs are different, I haven't seen any.
Hopefully there will be a break in the bickering for someone who has seen both types of notices to help.
  • As a complete newbie I have no thoughts regarding the politics as yet....all I can say cheers to you all.....Day 2 of my new life as a Tesco r&r obbsessive and I am 2 cases of Kronenbourg and another joint of beef up on the day.

    Day 1 - £7.60 r&r
    Day 2 - £33.10 r&r

Every little certainly helps....but more is better
