If u would have kept the item yes, u may have had a chance with HO, but as u have accepted a refund they will now consider the matter closed.

In the past Ive accepted full refunds on consoles and HO has instructed the stores to reimburse me/give me the console.

Recently some posters have received cheques from HO, or beentold to go in and collect their goods, after accepting an initial refund.

There doesnt seem to be a hard and fast rule about this......but we always used to preach that you had the advantage if you had your receipt and the goods.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Would HMV swap ps2 lego, I'd like to swap for Raving Rabbids Wii, obviously I'd have to pay the extra. What do you say, won't they ask how do you know it was bought from there.

Yes. I swapped a sealed XBOX 360 game for a WII game.
  • can anyone tell me what I do with my R and R's - for example if the receipt isnt marked, can I take it back and get the money back?

My local store uses barcodes on the receipts - does this mean they will know it has been R and R'd when they scan the barcode on the receipt?

Or, is it better just to do an exchange without a reciept?

  There really is no need to be rude - If you don't want to read my posts in future simply press the ignore button and voila you will never have to see another message from me again;)

Not being rude at all, but the amount of traffic you generate is dissap-ortionate to your worth on this thread. After being away for a few days its very recognisable, after all, I was wanting to make up a shopping list!

    Hiya,
Fairly new to all this, but was in Tescos today, and noticed the £20 off when you buy a xbox 360 and a xbox 360 game - purchased them at the electricals and discount did not come off. When i asked the guy about a refund as per their policy on the wall, he went and checked with his manager who became really aggressive, practically accusing me of stealing and exploitation, and would not give me a R&R - asked him to phone CS which he went off and appartently did, but would not budge on the R&R - any ideas if i should pursue with head office ? - the guy really upset me too ! - wouldn't have minded but i did actually want the console, until he started getting nasty ! ended up getting a full refund and leaving empty handed
    Thanks

Me personally would send a letter of complaint about the way you were treated. explain what happened and go from there. but everyones diffrent its up to u.:D

I'd prefer to read about peoples experiences not what you think that they should experience.
