I desperately wanted one of these as an Xmas present for my daughter. Ordered one and it was due to be delivered on Monday. Now had an email to say the item has been over subscribed to they won't be getting any more....
So gutted :( . I don't suppose anyone knows of another source for these?

Many thanks for checking that out IMHO: Was hoping to get a brand new one as I don't like paying out that amount of money with out a warranty. Can anyone help please?

suedix You could try Amazon. I think only Grundig have been selling these at the £99 price. The chances of getting a brand new one for £99+ is remote. Ebay is your best bet, some people never even opened them up when they bought them.If you get the receipt that they paid with i think there is your guarantees

You could email Grundig again to see if they have had any returns that are not faulty .
  • Managed to get 2 of these for the kids xmas. Now need to read the hudreds of posts in this thread!! Many thanks to OP. :j

I'm on holiday, but had to borrow a PC to check thread!! Lol!

My main screen is now sorrell - everything works great, except that the viewing screen is just lines and very dull (from side to side not top to bottom)
I can make out what is written just about but to watch movie clip or view a picture it is no longer worth the effort.

If I could just find a way to reset the screen settings or adjust them, then it would be perfect again.

Don't want to send back if no longer available.

    Back to enjoying myself!

Thanks again IMHO. Have emailed Grundig to see if they have any non-faulty returns available. Fingers crossed!

ibluey Page 66 of the manual says something like ,when you are watching a movie on it press the menu button long < thats what it says> you then get into the settings of the screen.
If it was mine i would copy every thing you have on the player to the computer. Then see what the screen looks like.
Ok just done it on mine . Go into a movie or song you have on to it. dont press to play it,hold the menu button down a long time till you get a screen up. Flick along the screen your come to Scope ...All. Repeat ..On . Shuffle... Off. Effect..normal Rotate ....0
    See what your has .

When you click on Image record ,there are other settings there as well. They are on page 72 of manual . If you dont have the manual i can email it to you.I think its on the Grundig disk .

My Grundig isnt recognized in any other computer other than my desktop !! Any ideas ?
If I right click on C drive (Win XP) and select properties, go to Hardware tab, there it shows the Toshiba MK3006GAL drive. However, it doesnt show up on windows explorer or in the Administration Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.
This is wierd. I have tried it on my laptop, my office desktop and another computer but it is not recognized as an external disk in any of these computers !!
