Just come across this when investigating problem with unit I bought in December. Recently failed to start, just said reformat drive, although showed correct date and time, also bulged?
Anyway i contacted Grundig on the number that came with the unit. Indian call centre. They took details and then soemone rang me back (from England). they have sent me a replacement unit. Only reported it last Wednesday and received new unit today. So very impressed with them.

Bastid! can't believe that. I had to send mine back and only got a refund. they said they'd let me know when they got more of them in. i love this unit its just that mine went tyts up and had to return it. The Goodmans one is no where near as good. i haven't even used mine since i got it. its all the converting films that put me off. Bah humbug.

Can I just ask, sorry if its a dumb question but Im not in the least techno minded. Can you copy a video on to this gadget, then transfer it to a pc then on to a dvd (or am I totally barking up the wrong tree here)

Certainly. It has a 30GB hard disk and you can copy any file from one PC and take it to the next PC without a problem.

I just got a refund on my unit as it became faulty and they didnt have any in stock (fantastic service by them BTW)

seems to be having problems with the recording moving images from the camera. Mic setting is so high that the sound is distorted. N matter how many times i turn down the volume is just resets itself to max when i begin to record. a real pain...any clues r other experiences like this. im using the sorrell firmware.

Same here. Try using blue tack on the mic holes....
