Is there any major advantages in going for the latest Beta firmware? Has anyone found any problems with this version?0

...my Grundig (or rather my Sorrell) of course. On the flight late in the evening, they were showing Shrek 3, just what all the grown-ups wanted to see. Quite a contrast to Oceans 13 on the daytime flight out just to please and distract all the kiddies.
So I whipped out the Grundig, plugged in the noise-cancelling headsets (Maplins - WN97F - £29.99 - brilliant, very effective, as good as Bose in my opinion and they come with an adaptor that connects to the airline sockets) and watched two of the 20 odd films stored on the box. The flap of the case wedges great in the back of the seat in front.
It certainly caught the attention of the rest of the people around me who were not impressed with Shrek for their evenings entertainment!
Fantastic gadget - I wish I'd bought one for the wife...“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”

Hi all,
Need a bit of basic advise really please.
Im off on hol in a month and rumor has it the movies on the 15 hr flight are almost none existent so I need some type of movie player . I know all about mp3s ( swaps anyone for movies??) but never messed with mp4 or whatever it is this thing plays.
Is there anything cheaper I can buy to watch movies on the plane, ideally I need something that plays carboot movies.
If I did buy a grundig would I have to convert DVDs to a different format or can I get movies already converted?
Last flight I watched simpsons on my nokia e61 and wish to upgrade this hol.
ThanksOn the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
The thread rumbles on and on ...
With this you plug it into your DVD, play the DVD and record directly on your VP6200. It sorts out the encoding. So ahead of the journey just spend a bit of time setting the recording up. You can set it to do a timed recording so as long as you know the length of the film you can set the thing to record for just that length of time. If you dont have the phono composite connections you can get a scart adapter for a couple of quid (big supermarket).
You can do conversions encoding DVDs but I think its quite fiddly.
I suppose these will be cheaper on ebay.0
