Works absolutely fine, just need to rename as above. You'll see it works instantly as the Grundig splash screen on startup is replaced with a Sordell one.0

Ok working for me now, all i can say is that when i changed the file name to VP6200_Rom.bin it didnt work, so i just changed the SV-15 to VP6200 and all was ok. Maybe it was something I did but if it dosent work for you just change that part, you'll also need to set it to PAL in the settings.0

leewts - you must be missing something somewhere. Here's the checklist:
Download the firmware from the above link
Connect the Grundig to your PC
Unzip the file, this will be called SV-15_rom.bin
Copy this file you've extracted to the PMP placing it in the SYSTEM folder
Rename the file changing the bit that reads "SV-15" to "VP6200"
The file will be named VP6200_Rom.bin (although depending on your settings for windows explorer the .bin extension may be hidden so you may just see VP6200_Rom)
Unplug the UDS cable and you are away0 -
When I was playing it ran 2 updates, deleting VP2600.bin and the original bin after it ran the second time.
Try all the suggested names, it wont hurt, and once the player has completed a flash and powered down, connect the USB before powering up again and delete the remaining BIN's
Anyone have an idea what the DRM files are in the root, are we now Digital Rights capable?0 -
soory for being a pain but have tried all you sugested and all i get is that is empies rycycle bin then goes straight to menu0

One further setting to change - the FM radio region presumably needs to be changed to Europe from Korea, go into radio and hold down menu then select Europe
So that's 3 settings to change after the upgrade - language to English, change TV output to PAL and then FM to Europe.
Oh, cheers to Zakkieboy for his good work finding the info out. I wonder how old this firmware is? Hopefully this means the product will be supported for a while, and who knows maybe we might even see some new functionality at some point if the Koreans are still actively supporting it.0
