I think the av units that come with the playstation are av in only. You need an av out

    Hi people.
I bought one of these things to capture data etc, but from these forums I also discovered that they can record and store video on the hard disk.
Well i have tried several formats with this unit and i must admit it is a little short on this, BUT if you only want the unit to store and display video on the unit itself then set the unit to work in NTSC mode. GIVE THE UNIT TIME TO SETTLE(hard disk) and its away. MP3 Which has not been tested by myself yet has been assured by my son. DONT TRY AND TRANSFER THE NTSC FORMAT to your comuter, this can cause unforseen problems, but the reality is they do work. I think they are an early version of whats to come.

    Well Folks !!!!!....
After reading all the good news stories on here...(thanx ! ).... I bought one of these things .. ordered Friday, and arrived this morning... just in time for my Birthday !!!!....

Well chuffed with all it can do / store and the number of things it can do... voice recorder, MP3, playback movies, camera, video.....

It may not have the best spec, but for £99 delivered it is well worth the money... and to average Jo / Joe Public ( bit o' PC there ! ) its a great little gadget !!

Just getting used to navigation.... Finding Im having to convert video files into avi to watch them... what software are you using ??

    Cheers

A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist.
  • Can anyone advise what the quality is like playing back on a large TV and what the best recording quality is to do this?
