Hope it helps:o0 -
If your connections are ok while in 'video record' mode press and hold 'menu' where it says 'video in' change it to 'Line' then press menu to exit and it should be ok. As for the radio, remember you have to have the ear phones plugged in as they act as an antenna, although i dont seem to pick much up on it.0

forcedv wrote:Recording on to the unit via line in, from a dvd player and set the quality to QVGA (320x240) and the flickerless to 'auto', should produce the best quality for LCD playback with smooth video.....but has anyone noticed that the recorded video has moments where the video pauses for just a quick moment now and again (always in the same place).
It's as if the unit has a little trouble recording in real time at a constant rate.
The Archos AV400 records smooth flawless video all the time.
Could it be a firmware issue or is the processor not powerfull enough ?
Yes I have noticed this, and someone on the thread did mention that this seems to be a BIG limitation when recording, unless of course you stick with VGA which doesn't pause now and then like QVGA(or was it the other way round?!). I guess this is where the ARCHOS beats the Grundig, but for the price I am not too fussed with VGA.0 -
VGA records at only 15 fps on this unit, which is not very smooth video.
The Grundig @ £99 is excellent value but I wouldn't use it as a personal video recorder.
Playback of video converted on a pc is excellent.
If they release new firmware to improve 'line in' video recording, then this unit really would rock.
Oh and improved support for other codecs such as ADPCM would be nice too.
Only emails to Grundig or some hacker with time can give us these improvements.....but I wouldn't hold my breath.0 -
I am having a problem, when a watch a film it says HD waking up and then the film restarts. Any ideas0
