    Not necessariy, no. It depends entirely on whether they've acted honestly or dishonestly.

    For example, they could well have transferred the money out of their current account to avoind confusing their money with this extra lump that appeared. And contacted their bank to ask where it had come from. That would be a reasonable thing to do, and no crime.

    especially if you bung it into somewhere that pays interest - nice sum going in there and it could be weeks.

    Is there any way they could keep it? You know, if they dashed off and bought a Bentley or something?
