I have provided him with the all the evidence to prove the case but he doesn't seem to understand, I'm saying this - going by his letter of opinion.
You have waited far too long for this i dont see why you should now have to wait for the ombudsman :mad:.

I need some help with claiming my miss sold ppi with HAMILTON DIRECT BANK for a personal loan around 1996, i have statements and the credit agreement but i am struggling to find who i need to address the complaint to ? I know or believe it was owned by HFC who are owned by HSBC ? so do i now take my complaint to HSBC ?
any advise and help would be great. Thank you0 -

The previous posts have proved interesting reading.
I had a loan through Endeavour Personal Finance in 2001.
We too were sold PPi which was initially underwritten by BFC Insurance Ltd, and then transferred to Hamilton Life Assurance Company in 2003.
I have written to HFC and GE Money and are still awaiting their responses, however HSBC have stated very clearly that the PPi was not sold by them therefore they are not responsible.
Are you able to provide any further advise or signpost me on elsewhere.
Our initial loan was for £25,500 with £4845 added for PPi we did not need.
I have found this so frustrating.
