Poor bunny :( I've used the brandy and eyedropper with a mouse once, it worked wonders but that was back when I was young and stoopid. I don't know if I'd want to risk it now.

The day has gone amazingly according to plan. The tree is bought and up, baubles will be hung on it tomorrow. Our lights seemed a bit iffy but I managed to find some new 160 chaser lights in Primark reduced to half price today. The Iceland shop is done and everything just fitted in the freezer nicely so I worked that out well. I have cheated a bit and bought quite a few of their buffet bits but I worked out I couldn't make it for what they were selling it for.

I also treated myself to some Cherry B's for a wicked cocktail that I make, just one of those and I am slaughtered so I am saving it for Christmas night :D Back home, wrapped two pressies for a friend and her little girl, they don't celebrate christmas so I didn't know whether to or not but she bought me a beautiful diamante hairclip so I rushed out and got them both something small.

I can't believe I am so ahead of schedule. I just have to take my Mum christmas shopping tomorrow, do the usual shopping run on Friday where I will pick up the fresh veg etc for Monday and Wednesday and Thursday are reserved for cleaning the house.

I keep telling DH I am going to go into town on Saturday to sit and drink coffee and laugh at everyone running around at the last minute. He said he will make me a placard saying Ha, Ha I'm all finished but I told him that was tempting fate.

Spent most of the day in York with DD(21) helping her get Christmas presents for friends.

Had lunch while we were out and got home over an hour ago and my feet still hurt!

Knew my online shopping with a tea tray next to me was a good idea!

Got home to find that my order from the book people ( from 3 days ago) had just arrived in a huge box - so now have some emergency presents for DD to give and something for other DD as well.

    Happy birthday Quasar :bdaycake:

    36_19_2.gif Oh good grief.

DH has just come home with a £7 box of frozen jalapeno "poppers" from costco. Now I love these (not that I can eat them - dieting ya know) but he's got them to take into work cos everyone's taking stuff in on wed. I asked what others were doing - "so and so's making shepherds pie, someone else is doing apple crumble......." I could have made something more substantial for 1/2 the price. MEN!.

And he's planning to cook them on tues night and reheat them in the microwave. I dunno. It's not my place to say anything I suppose - I only do all the cooking and budgeting in the house. So what would I know.:rotfl: (But I do have the makings of lasagne in the house - so he could have had something for free!)

I'm off to have a soak in the bath to try and warm my tootsies up. He's watching "Hogfather"

Kids will go to sleep some time, I can hear them playing in the bedroom.

Peem tell him to stick his Jalapenos up his nose next time :D

Ooooooh doesn't it feel like christmas now. Just read The Night Before Christmas to DD. DS is loading the dishwasher and cleaning the kitchen with christmas music playing and I am sat here sort of watching Cutthroat Island. I really should get on and do this scarf though.

    Good evening everyone,

Well DS didnt go to school today, last night he had a really bad headache (he doesnt like to go to sleep, and every now and again it catches up with him) and this morning he said his throat hurt, so as christmas is coming, i thought i would keep him home, after all they were only going to practice Christingle today in a cold old church so i didnt think it would hurt. Anyway, he was fine all day (big faker!!!) and then at 2 the school rang to say DD was crying and saying she had a headache. Went to get her and told them as they were both off school poorly, we would have to miss Cristingle tonight. Mind you, think im more upset about it than them, cos i really enjoy that service. They are both going to school tomorrow tho, im sure there is nothing wrong with either of them.
Reading through all the threads, im agreeing with moggins, it is all christmassy, and i can hardly believe there is only a week before it actually happen.I think im ready, but there is that nagging doubt in the back of my head thinking ive forgotton something - i do hope im just panicing over nothing, and im ready really!
Right, im in the middle of a glass of wine and 'love actually' on dvd, so better go.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening, ((HUGS)) to anyone who is poorly, im glad little Tilly Grace is doing well and hope the bunny will be doing well over night xx
