    Morning all

Sorry not been on for a few days, up and down the country again this weekend and essay writing on Saturday, another one done.

Was very worried because my Amazon order said it wouldn't arrive by Christmas and then I found one rogue book (sold out) was holding the order up....can you guess what it was? Yep, the new OS book :rotfl: So I had to postpone ordering that till after crimbo.

Busy at work this week, but proudly took out my frozen soup this morning so still cutting back on the spending. Glad I am, credit card bill for this month is double the previous

Survey has come back about the flat, not happy with one part of to do with electric circuits. Going on the housebuying forum to ask for advice.

Um, have one thing on this week (small scared voice) a date :o Rather scared!!!

Quickly looking through the threads I can see there are some people who need hugs, and a happy birthday to one (quasar) and congrats to Kaz :)

I don't know if nay of you like Hugh F-W's programs, but my mum said he's on every morning at 10:30 over the hols, I'll check which channel if anyone's interested. I love the dry humour!

Not sure if its the same prog, but Christmas Cooks is on ITV at 10.30, so i will be watching that, whilst little one makes a christmas card!!!! (only one here, just after i posted this morning had a phone call to say one of them was poorly!!!!) so an easier day for me!!!!
  • Morning all.

Quickie post as trying to get the whole house licked into shape ready for everyone breaking up for the hols. DS2 has broken up and is happily sleeping in bed. DS1 breaks up Friday lunchtime and DH around the same time. Love it when we're all home together! :D

DS1 has just emailed me from work to tell me he's treating us all to a night at the pictures this weekend. Absolutely thrilled because it's ages since we've been (had to cut back on luxuries a while back) so it's going to be quite special for us all. Last time we went was when we got to see Hoodwinked free following a heads up on the freebies board.

Have a great day and good news about Tilly Grace.

Very bad night, woke at 1.15 was still reading at 4.30, feel like a bit of chewed string this morning, however, bedroom and bathroom cleaned and hoovered, thought I would have a few mo's on here before I do the stairs and the living room.

    Freecycle stuff collected............

Nothing much on really, working through the plan I roughed out last week. OH has gone on the bus to the local shopping centre for a haircut and to take back a paper cutter which does not work. Need to get on with some sewing this afternoon have a project on I want to finish this week.

    :coffee: calls.......................

Heard on Friday that I've finally reached the top of the queue for an allotment, so went to see the plots on Saturday, and chose the one I want :D So I am now the proud owner of a half plot - making all kinds of plans for it.. am planning to go and check all the allotment threads when I have chance.

Hope everyone has a great day!

JackieO Great news about little Tilly.

joannasmum Huge hugs to you, so sorry to read your news.

    Happy birthday Quasar and Nelski

snoozer-glad you liked Columbia Road and Spitalfields, they are both about 15 minutes walk from my house!

hugs to all those with poorly people or bunnies.

three more days to work after this one. All the undergrad students have finished, so peace reigns! We are all going out for a Brazilian meal tomorrow, which will be interesting.

Off to parents on saturday which will be nice. Both grannies, my sis and my sister's cat will also be there. will have 5 days being looked after, be heading back to London for New Year.

Will have to move out of house in March as owners want to sell it. So need to decide whether i want to find another flatshare, or go for it and rent a place on my own (can't afford to buy and probably never will!)
