Goodmorning everyone,

Just a very quick one, just skimmed the post. Will come back later as we've just got back in from another load on the mainland. Had a big night last night and really powered on with the kitchen. Took some photo's this morning so will post one later. Internet wasn't working this morning so missed my morning cuppa browse.

I'm doing my ususal Monday Tesco shop, hoping it's not too busy:rolleyes: I'm just getting boring stuff, then on Friday/Saturday I'll be getting cream, goose, ham plus wine and beer.

OH still off with his sports injury:rolleyes: , still I quite like having him around really.

Will be making mince pies and more florentines (traditional in my family) this week.

Happy Birthday Quasar!!!

I decided it was necessary to sort out my sleeping pattern last night so I was in bed at 9pm with a DVD and an over the counter sleeping pill. It worked, and I was awake at 6.15 this morning fresh as a daisy. OH starts a new job this morning so ive sent him off with a packed lunch and all necessary bits and pieces, we went to recce it yesterday so he knew where he was going! Got a text 20mins ago saying he'd arrived safetly and on time - so its a good start to Monday!

Anyway, im still off till Friday this week, and still have 4 days of holiday to take before the end of the year, which on a 3 day contract means im not back at work until next year. YES!!!!! So - today, I intend to have a quick clean up as its not too bad around here given that I spent a good proportion of saturday cleaning and reorganising furniture so that everything fits better, so I just need to quickly hoover, clean one of the fish tanks, and mop the floors. I think I might spend some of the day cooking so that OH has a nice meal to come home to, and I need to sort out a bit of paperwork. Aside from that, I have some free time to enjoy so I may well treat myself to a play on sims2!

Ive also registered for an Open University course and after a conversation with OH, it seems he'd been thinking about it too and had found the perfect course that he was interested in so we are now both registered, we just have to sign the paperwork when it arrives and return it. Im feeling pleased that we are both doing something for interest in the next year!

Anyway, I need more tea! Have a lovely day all!

Im very tired this morning, Bunny's made another 4 hrs. Just about to feed & water him again.

catowen OH can sympathise with birthday so close to Christmas, he was born on Xmas Eve. He tells me exactly the same ref combine presents etc. My Grandad was born on Xmas on Day !

Got to go into town today - aaargh. Thought I'd got it all done. If dd and I go in really fast after dropping ds off I think we should miss the worst of the crowds.

DS's last week of school - they don't break up until friday!
He's started to get excited about christmas and I'm loving it. It';s good when the kids start to appreciate things. So it should be good until he hits puberty and then it's "cool" not to be into stuff. I'm making the most of the enthusiasm while I can.


Not much else to report.

Gonna make some praline truffles for the grandmothers from the kids. Hopefully more will reach the boxes than goes into little tummies.

All DD wants for christmas is chocolate. A girl after my own heart.

Well, it's Monday again. Weekends never seem to last long enough. I only work part-time but I never seem to have much energy due to health problems and the effects of a lot of medication. Still, I try to be positive, I have a loving partner, some form of income, a roof over my head, a home PC and of course MSE. I always try to have my glass half-full!

Happy Birthday Quasar, as my grandson tells me age is just a number , like on a clock, it comes and it goes .Very perceptive for a 16 year old .
Belated Happy Birthday to nelski as well, I bet a glass or two of wine was quaffed lol
I have one of my grandsons coming this morning.he is sitting his 11+ in January so he is coming to do some test papers .Bless him he so wants to get into the school of his choice and is working really hard to get there .
Latest news on little Tilly Grace is she is off the ventilator, and breathing on her own .Fingers and toes crossed for her.Bless she is such a tiny little thing ,but what a fighter .
I have just three cards to make and that is all my cards done for this year. I am feeling quite pleased with myself as I never thought I could make my own .I have sent out around thirty and have hand-delivered about twenty five so after christmas I am going to start making them for next year and then put them away.
Hope everyone has a good day ,it's rather foggy here at the moment and very damp.
My youngest DD's birthday tomorrow so I shall be off to taste her birthday cake tomorrow night. (((Hugs))) to those in need, and try not to stress tooo much all you Mums with big shops to do.Just remember the gravy powder, as one year I forgot and had to cobble the gravy together out of odds and ends in the cupboard

good morning all!!!!
not posted for a few days because i was helping dss number 2 and his family into thier new house, i have been painting, wall papering and laying carpets, packing and moving and not to mention loads of cleaning so i am well exhausted.
birthday wishes to them who are celebrating, get well wishes to everyone under the weather (bunnies included) and hugs to everyone who wants or needs one.
todays plans are
visit cousin this morning for a cuppa and catch up,
post two xmas cards for people i forgot about,
write and deliver the family cards,
study for huge college exam tomorrow night,
think about a meal plan after having a sort through cupboards and freezer,
some simple sewing again as i have not been near it for days and days,
usual dw, wm, td and bm dramas to be had and if i can fit it in a quick tidy up around the house, or as my eldest ds is now on hols from uni might delegate the cleaning and tidying to him.
hope everyone has had a great weekend (sorry not got time to read the weekend threads), and that everyone had a brilliant monday
