    To summarise - 3 Wiis, 8 auctions:

Auction 1: Cancelled as didn't show up in search.

Auction 2: Cancelled as didn't show up in search.

Auction 3: Cancelled as didn't show up in search.

Auction 4: Wii 1 sold to man from Birmingham who paid cash in person. Wii 2 sold to buyer via eBay.

Auction 5: Wii 3 sold via eBay but buyer hasn't paid yet.

Auction 6: Highest bidder was a scammer.

Auction 7: A mistake. Highest bidder was the same scammer as Auction 6.

Auction 8: Relist of Wii 3. As it's already up to £225, I guess you've made some sort of profit from this whole escapade?

PS I played tennis on the Wii yesterday and have injured my arm, so you're not the only one having bad luck.

thank you that is exactly how it is.

so.... send it to the woman who wanted it on the earlier auction?? why re-list when she had already bought one from your last auction you couldnt fullfill?

no chance, she was abusive in emails and bidded the last one to like 900 out of spite. she has since bidded on other wii so she isnt going to pay.

  • To be honest I think you shot yourself in the foot initially when you didn't want to part with a Wii for £322, thinking that the auction ended too low.

That's still £143 over the RRP and that's not taking postage into account.

If you had sold that one to her (assuming she didn't turn out to be a scammer) then most of this unfortunate business could have been avoided.

Greed got the better of you I think....

no i didnt not refuse to sell to her because of greed. it is because two auctions had finished and sold before hers, and as the guy who flew up did not win the auction the person who won 'his' auction paid right away, and the second person i assumed would pay so i did not have one to sell to her. ut turns out now he is not going to pay. i could sell to her but she has been totally un helpful, abusive and sabotaged another auction for no good reason, even when she has been abusive i have not retaliated once. i would have been happy for £322 and sold her if she cooperated.

believe me if i had one at the time i would have sold it her.

she is now planning to, i can only assume out of spite, destroy my other auction, if i put her in my blocked list will she be notified? also, if she bids and then i add her to the blocked list will her bids be removed?

    thank you.

  • Oh, ok apologies, I misunderstood your OP!

Yeah, I wouldn't touch her with a barge pole.

Very spiteful trying to shaft your other auction, so why go out of your way to help her? I agree.

If you block her from bidding (which I would do, I think she'll only be notified if she tries to bid. Judging by her form, she may well re-register under another name if she is that sad and determined!
  • ok....everything totally pear shape here... and that little hole has now turned into a bif ditch by the looks of it......

at the end of the day you are going to have negs....so just refund..any payment she tries to make.......if she puts a claim in...respond by saying that the item was faulty or....you feel that her history of buying selling these ...consoles...made alarm bells ring.......

as one...... person has allready said......i know these are flavour of the month.... but lets get real here.... how much would some one realistically pay over the odds for one...???????

you still got to keep in the back of your mind....she could cliam back her money after you sent her a console.....so not only will you have a neg ..... but also no money... no console........

i would ..put this down to experience mate... where you thought you woulod make a quick buck.....its now turning out.... its going to potentially cost you.....

if you think you are going to get hounded by this person....why dont you have a new user name.....and start afresh.......and learn by this mess......

yeah i think i should blcok her 5 mins before auction ends, then i presume her bids will be removed?

alot on her that have posted think i am a scammer or a troll, i honestly can say i am not. it looks bad that i have started and cancelled alot of auctions but i am not greatly clued up on ebay or computers and basically have left myself looking both unprofessional and have paid the price in fees. I would have sold to this woman for 189.99 if she were the high bidder! if i had one to sell her believe me i would have sold it! i dont enjoy hassle.

i'm sorry this has caused me all this stress but the sooner its all over the better.

ianW, blocking a bidder will not remove existing bids from the auction, it will only prevent future bids being made.

Your fees are now getting well out of hand, go and check your current invoice to see what you are already showing, then consider selling this wii through the small ads or through an advert on a shop window as you are stumped for time. Leave ebay alone, this has got too messy and your account may well not recover from it.

  • Wise advice from soolin there

Plus, this bidder may well contact Inland Revenue out of spite to check you are registered for tax reasons as you are now operating as a business (buying items with the sole intention to resell) and all profit made on them is taxable (I hope you are registered with them or do so asap as you have three months from start of selling or you will be hit by a large fine if caught later on)
See the stars they’re shining bright
    Everything’s alright tonight
