Just rang 024 no and got through to Adams internet order fulfilment. Yes there was 1 item holding up my order. Something I had ordered for my daughter's school play last thursday!! I cancelled that item and have been told that order should be dispatched tomorrow. It would have been much easier if customer support that I spoke to at lunchtime had told me this.
Satan666wayne - where on the website does it say they are closing?0 -

The results have been phenomenal, proving that their customers love great deals. They will be launching their 1/2 price sale after Christmas with incredible offers:j .
Just in case anybody else didnt notice, this post was made by ( i assume) Ronny Helvey, who is the marketing manager at adams. Hopefully this will put peoples minds at rest .... but unfortunately due to the recent closure of the likes of farepak i'm still a bit nervous ... i was waiting until the post xmas sale to spend my vouchers and i think i'll take the chance and wait!A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.0 -

Dear Money Saving Experts,
Hello, my name is Keith Pound. I am the Director responsible for Logistics at Adams. I have noticed the concerns amongst your members on this chat forum and thought it might help to respond.
We experienced a catastrophic failure with our systems last weekend. The problem has now been rectified but it has left us with a huge backlog following the success of our 50% Autumn Sale.
We have now picked and despatched 40% of the orders generated last weekend.
We are working around the clock to fulfil all the orders prior to Christmas as promised. i.e. all orders received before 9.00 on Saturday 16th December will be despatched in time for Christmas. All orders leaving our Distribution Centre from Tuesday will be posted using the Royal Mail’s guaranteed next day delivery service.
I hope this goes someway to explaining the situation and allaying customers’ concerns about the business.
Regards
Keith Pound0 -

This posted on the website:-
Our online business has seen huge sales and as with most online retailers, a cut off date was set to ensure pre Christmas deliveries. This was 9.00am on 16th December.
At our busiest time we were unfortunately hampered by a systems failure early last week which put back a block of orders.
With customers top of mind, we thought it best to advise that there might be a problem with delivery pre Christmas, hence the email we sent out on Saturday 16th December.
We are delighted to say that the system failure has now been rectified and all orders placed before the advised pre 9.00am on the 16th December will be delivered pre Christmas.
To ease deliveries some orders will come in more than one package, but rest assured you will only be charged for one delivery, we will be picking up any additional delivery charges.
Just to confirm, any orders post 9.00am on the 16th December cannot be guaranteed as delivery is subject to Royal Mail being able to deliver pre Christmas.
Hope you will be delighted with your purchases and sorry for any anxiety. Wishing you a Happy Christmas and hope to see you shopping with us again in the New Year!:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0
