Do you think it might be a good idea not to take any more Gap jobs on at present in case something is in the offing?
Gap have done this before. Paid late and everyone panics, personally I'll carry on as I am. If I get paid, I get paid, if I don't I write it off on the tax return. Doesn't matter to me either way. Might make a difference if you don't automatically pay tax though, but for me a loss helps keep the tax bill down.0 -
I really can't see the logic in asking us to return an item by special delivery postage, when the item only costs about the same as the postage. Why not just let the shopper keep it!
What kind of item is it? Once when I asked to keep an item that I was going to buy anyway with the offer to not receive the reimbursement for it I was told it had to be sent so the company could check the product to make sure it was up to brand standards.0 -

Yes, this is the response I've had in the past too. Add in the need to visit the Post Office too and doing the shop in the first place isn't really worth it anymore.0 -

You need to tie the return in with a Gap "stamp shop" job!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Are they having a laugh??
All that work for that fee?!?!?! :rotfl:
It's dropped a third in less than a year! Are they having a competition with RE to see how low they can go? If this keeps up we'll be doing them for a quid each!0 -

I used to like ESA but I've only done two jobs for them this year and one of these was a post drop. Their fees are laughable, especially if there is any travelling involved.
But I do need to give some credit to RE. Had three phone calls recently about jobs they were trying to cover. They quite happily increased the fee every time for the jobs involved. 3X, 3.5X and 4X the original fees. Without any argument. I think they might be sneaking ahead of ESA.0 -

I was looking for something to tie in with another job, but I'm not that desperate!!!! :rotfl:0 -

OMG! ESA are doing their calls today to beg people to do visits. So be warned! I didn't bother picking up. I can just imagine them saying "We will up the fee by 20p if you can get it done today". LOL.
PS. Thanks to the people in my area for not picking all the ESA visits. Just leave them and they will have to up the fees eventually if they want their work doing. I think if everyone does this all over the country, they will have no choice but to up the fees!0
