I'm going to Minorca in August. It's a very quiet non-British resort and an all-inclusive hotel. I plan on laying on a sunbed all day while supervising my children playing in the pool and doing not much else. I really deserve a rest, so please pray for sunshine :D

Ooh lucky you, I love Menorca / Minorca!!

Have been there twice and it is such a family friendly place, hope you have a lovely time.

No such thing as a free holiday, still got reports to do.

    Almost free, but not totally.

Hiya, am fairly new to GBusters, and have had an email asking if I would be interested in being an auditor. Can anyone give me an idea what would be involved? Many Thanks!

They'll be desperate for auditors since they've sacked most of us.

The job involves walking round a petrol station for about 45 minutes with two books that resemble the Argos catalogue. You need to check temperatures of the fridge and freezer, sell by dates, whether the correct documents are in place in the store and most importantly that all the products on the shelves are where the big catalogues say they should be.

A word of warning, once you're an auditor there's no going back. You cannot be a seaside petrol mystery shopper after becoming an auditor, not even at sites that don't get audited.

I agree completely with this. Every time I do a "free" long haul it costs me near enough four figures!

Plus you need to factor in the cost of the work you're missing whilst away and also the work that you miss due to the allocations being whilst you're away... Soon adds up.

We don't do it for the money / perks it's definitely for the love of improving genuine customers trips!! (honestly mr tax man ;))

Just to let those waiting for Gap payments know, it won't be Monday, there are no payments pending from them in my account for Mon 27th.

I read the message to mean the payment will be made by next week, not that it will arrive in our bank accounts by next week so I wasn't expecting it until Wed/Thu ish. I might be wrong though.

Do you think it might be a good idea not to take any more Gap jobs on at present in case something is in the offing?

I really can't see the logic in asking us to return an item by special delivery postage, when the item only costs about the same as the postage. Why not just let the shopper keep it!
