Sorry to hear that little angel - I failed mine the first time too - therefore people who pass second time are far superior drivers!:p

Hmmm just had a letter asking me to go and see the Consultant Anaesthetist next month?!! I have requested a c-section but am fighting my Consultant for one right now (she's trying to talk me out of it) so am wondering about this appointment. Have messaged my MW - luckily she's a friend so I can FB message and text to my hearts content lol!

    Afternoon

Welcome to all the newbies :)

I'm very sore today, feel like my back is breaking :o

Baby is soooo wriggly and his movements are starting to hurt. Midwife later on. Had some more mucus loss last night, much to DHs horror :rotfl: Oh he has a lot to learn if that freaks him out so easily :D:rotfl:

Really hoping baby stays put now until Sunday at least as I really want to celebrate our first wedding anniversary on Saturday :)

Can't believe I'm 10th on that list

    Ooooh, new thread. Lovely.

Welcome new folk and congratulations koalamummy and perdi (only 2 births I can remember so sorry if I missed someone).

Not been on much as have had a mad and stressful few weeks. Almost through it now and then I can start winding down. I'm 28 weeks and starting to feel pretty big and I tire easily but nothing to really complain about. I wonder if I'm the only person who doesn't love feeling my baby move :o I've always been a bit funny about pregnant ladies' bumps and the thought that there's something living in there and had hoped that being pregnant myself it would all make sense and seem normal but I think it freaks me out even more that it's my tummy.!It's not that I don't like it, it just seems completely weird. Maybe I'm just weird. Sometimes feel a bit guilty and sad that I should be embracing and in love with the whole thing when I'm not, I just want to reach the end.

I need to do a check of what I have and what I still need to buy. Things I'm sure I need are cot mattress, car seat. Also need to collect moses basket from friend and buy new mattress for that and not sure if they're giving me bedding for it so that could be needed too.!

toddler seat just turned up and OMG... it STINKS to high heaven of smoke!! I am so glad I don't have to put Squeak in it yet.. OH is a bit impressed with the niftiness of it.. he likes such things.. so I might actually have made the right decision there. At least I still get to use my 4 wheel drive monster :D

Other than another baby monitor (OH decided we need another.. though I might just get the sound unit as I don't think Squeak will need the movement sensor at 14 months if I am honest.) That would also mean I would have 'ears' in the girls room which they will hate.
I need to get the cot and mattress.. after christmas
We need a couple of outfits, a snowsuit and some cardies/jumpers for over sleepsuits... but I will knit those.
    I need 2 towels as well.. I won't knit those. ;)

Who knows if theres anything in that research - I'm guessing a zillion other factors come in to play - but not really in to scaremongering myself and don't get why peeps post stuff like that on this thread.

Because I wanted to show it for the scaremongering that it is ;) We can all make our own minds up about 'research'...

Little Angel sorry to hear that- I passed 2nd time too so can def vouch for 2nd time passers :D

Tw1light don't put yourself under even more pressure - baby making is hard enough... however you feel is ok, we're all different and I must admit, sometimes I feel like I should be in an Aliens movie too! Then I remember the miracle it will be when we meet him and how he is a little of both of us, plus is own little personality and can't wait to meet him... well I can wait, as I have so much to do, and little choice in the waiting ha ha...

Need to still sort so much.... baby monitor, TENS, blankets, hospital bag... roll on finishing work so I can get into preparation mode properly!

Yes :) I found one in Card Factory, there were 2 choices that I could find. One said from the bump and the other something about enjoy your next little project with a robot on front lol. Im sure Clintons would have one too as they had the mother-to-be cards, may be worth a look?

Need motivation today :o have done nothing but laze in bed reading since I got up! Oops.. missing home and away, guess I just found my motivation :rotfl:
