Quick question-i know people say animals can sense a woman being pregnant, but can toddlers?! My almost 3 year old has been strangely loving towards me the past week, planting me with lots of kisses and cuddling up to my belly and seeming to enjoy how i smell (can he smell breast milk do you think?)...or is he just a strange child?! lol :) keely.x

I think your 3 year old is after something - possibly chocolate LOL :D
  • WOOHOO - number 50 on the list .... (Hurry up and start popping those kiddies out people!! I'm getting near the top - albeit slowly!!) lol
  • Thanks Sammy. I got them from labour last time and they did go away themselves then. Been eating 3 wheetabix every morning of this pregnancy am drinking loads of water, and at seems to have worked well. I am praying this goes away itself at some stage!!!! Sob sob

  • Alison, funnily enough I felt one on Saturday and when I looked in the mirror to see what it was, I was horrified to find that there was a collection of them:eek: I felt really embarrassed for some reason.

I really hope they do go away after pregnancy as they are awful looking things! They will go won't they?
  • They charge £5 for two pics at both 12 and 20 week scans here. If the token machine is working anyway.

I don't know whats got into me this morning, probably just no sleep and too much pain, but I cannot stop crying. Cried all day yesterday too but that was probably because it was DS's birthday and he was with his dad and I missed him. Feel like a proper wet blanket, I haven't cried this much since my granddad died.

Re: haemorrhoids, do you just know if you find one or is there something to look for? Got me paranoid enough to need to run a bath and check.
  • Winnie I only knew mine was there as felt one when I was wiping after going to the toilet. Then when I looked there was a prominent one (the one I felt) and smaller ones next to it.

Maybe it's something that happens at this stage in pregnancy SVSandy? I'm going to work like mad at my pelvic floor exercises now. Found this on babycentre website. Seems pretty thorough info.
Winnie, you will know if you have one as there will be something there that wasn't there before!

Hope you are feeling less weepy today Winnie. Hugs!

  • I doubt they'll give me one free, I found out I was pregnant during an ovary check and they still tried to charge me £7 for a pic.
I had bout £5 but you have to go to the cash office, pay and take the receipt back up to the x-ray/ultrasound dept before they give you a pic.

If it helps that is pretty much all I have done for the last week.. I have the pain and sleep deficit as well... thankfully.. this is coming out next Friday at the very latest..

I cant cook dinner, I cant clean the hovel, I cant go to the toilet, I cant get in bed and I absolutely cannot get out of it again. I want to get a shower and I actually do want to clean the hovel.. I cant get in the car which makes the school runs impossible... and the best part is.. I have noone else to do ANY of those things so I have no choice but to do them.. my children are starting to look like pasta and pizza because it takes 3 seconds to put in the pan/oven!

I feel sick constantly probably to do with the constant blubbing. I dont think I have eaten a proper meal in weeks.
