  • i've never got dressed to go home from hospital, i've always gone home in jamas and plan on doing the same this time, hehehehe, lazy mare arent i? i just cant see the point, i'm only gonna get straight in the bath and put more jamas on so why bother :)
    Skint, but happy (ish):p
  • Hi ladies just had quick read back, I had piles about 2 months back it was very painful and I too felt embarrassed but in the end went to doctors and got given some cream which stopped them hurting and shrunk them, since then have felt tiny lump but no where as bad cream really seemed to work. It's just part of my cervix that sticks out now but I guess that's why they are keeping me in

I always go home in the clothes I went in wearing. Nobody will know and I don't bother getting dressed when in hospital.

Agree with PP about asking the little girl to show you her baby. They seem to appreciate that. Plus a little gift always goes down well. Maybe a magazine, book etc
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!
  • my kids appreciated a colouring book when lilly was born, and them being made a fuss over first rather than the baby, especially since she had to go into special care because everyone was concerned about this new baby and they felt a little bit forgotten.

im off for my final dress fitting for the wedding next week this afternoon, then it all starts, running round like a looney wilst feeling sick and not feeling particularly well, im sure it will all be worth it in the end, but i now wish i was getting married next year not next week.

    Hello ladies

Not been on since Thursday - I see we have had some babies - congrats to Forumgrazer and Ecoelle! Get a move on boldies too!!

Well, I'm 3rd on the list and actually hoping that baby stays put until EDD - we've had car issues over the weekend and need to collect a new on on Wednesday - which entails me driving my old car into central London (80 mile round trip) to drop DH off to collect a new one! Eep! Not what we needed right now, a new loan for car finance, but needs must. It's quite exciting though - we've gone for a small MPV which is quite a step up from the 3dr small cars we've had before!

I've been having a few aches and pains and sharpish twinges in my foof, but am trying to ignore them and hope they just go away. Labour cannot commence until Thursday :)

So, all other ladies who want them - please take all my labour vibes!! Every single one - I'm happy to wait until next week!!

    xDx

    show off :rotfl:

I would love to take them but think Twinkle is the most in need! :D

Thanks MrsT. I'm seeing the doc on Thursday and I wont be leaving without a prescription for something to help. I like the sound of shrinking cream! Hope you are feeling more comfortable!

BTW, Tesco are selling Fairy non-bio laundry powder (42 washes) for £6. Not sure if that was mentioned a few days ago, but it's such good value I though I'd risk repeating someone else :p

If it helps that is pretty much all I have done for the last week.. I have the pain and sleep deficit as well... thankfully.. this is coming out next Friday at the very latest..

I feel sick constantly probably to do with the constant blubbing. I dont think I have eaten a proper meal in weeks.

Next Friday? Are you just going to turn up and demand they get it out? If so, can you do it tomorrow so I can try the same thing on Wednesday? :p:D

Have just sat in the bath and sobbed for an hour. The change of scenery was nice. Had to make DH come home from work to get me out though. He had to climb through the kitchen window because I'd locked all the doors and left keys in the locks. Should be funny but I'm even too miserable to raise a smile!

I feel sick too, thought it was the heartburn and/or the huge amounts of gaviscon but I guess it could be the blubbing...

Thanks all for the answers on haemerroids - I'm pleased to report I appear to be all clear on that front! I guess something had to go right!

Agree about making a fuss about the 2y/o too :)

I don't think the fashion police will be following you home... If ever there was a day you're entitled to look rough that'll be it!
