Delain.. I had a monumental strop last week and said I wouldnt go to the quack/MW/local hosital if all my limbs were hanging off and the baby was waving at me.. I havent calmed down yet.. If they dont respect my wishes then they can all go to hell..

I went quiet as I was watching half a season of Fringe.. OH hogs the bandwidth from about 7pm and by the time I get back about midnight you lot are long since in bed

It has been curled right in my back all the way through but those corners are very very sharp now and even through my blubber it is possible to make out the outlines of hands and feet..

We do Saturday pics which is why the difference is no obvious

These are the times I wish you lived closer cos I'd get my OH to put you over his shoulder and drag you to hospital :( The staff here are nice I promise, although they might be a bit cross you haven't been yet.

My consultant is nice.. however I dont want to hear his opinions on anything and I wont listen and I absolutely will NOT do as I am told without proper information backed up with statistical evidence which they can never provide.. because he says so is not good enough!

The midwives are 90% horrible and 5% even worse and the 5% that are halfway decent are forever on leave/off sick.. lol.. Actually Squeaks MW was nice enough.. but it was early in the day :p

He would need more than a shoulder to lift my fat arris lol.... like a crane!!!

Might look at the Graco seat- it sounds a good deal.

Instead of doing anything remotely useful today I've assembled the high chair and it is ok for £25, was easy to put together, and folds down quite flat. The seat cover comes off easily for washing it so that is good, although the tray is a bit fiddly to latch into positin, it takes some wiggling about.

The only thing is, people are asking me now what I would like, or need, as a present. And I can honestly say, I have no idea. I don't think there is much we will need. Anyone got suggestions???

I would just ask for vouchers as they are the most useful present, or maybe a baby record book?

I am so tired today, and should really get up and go to the post office, but I may have to go and have a nap instead.

    Hello all.

PP you scared us all then when you went quiet! Glad you're here though, I love your advice.

Had my 34w MA appt today, for all you ladies who said it sounds like I've got SPD, well I have. Have to ring the physio tomorrow to see if they can get me a support belt but after heraing some of your stories, I wonder whether it's quicker to just buy my own. Lirin, does your belt help you?

    Hope everyone is well. :)

Yes it does, Alison2020 recommended a Carriwell one on Boots website for £5.50. It's great for a while, just if I'm wearing for hours it can start to irritate a little. I'd never have got the wedding done at the weekend without it.

I have 3 support belts and cant wear any.. 1 has no support at all (emmajane one i had from DD1) .. nexcare one from M/care.. think it is about £35... and a cheap one which puts loads of pressure on my back aggravating my kidney issues..

They all seem to roll from the bottom so cause burn like marks on my lower back and hips, and/or put pressure on my ancient hips or sore kidneys.. so I very rarely wear them.. not that it makes any difference because they only seem to have any effect when walking and I cant do that.

Ive been using mine to walk DD to school. It has definitely helped keep the weight off my pelvis. I dont (think i ) have SPD but just couldn't walk at all without severe discomfort down below and pain kicking in after a few mins. The belt is a bit too tight to sit in but great for standing and walking. Glad you found it useful Lirin.

Thanks for the suggestions re baby presents. A baby book is a good idea WW and vouchers too :)

I haven't got a pic of him to send you but trust me, all he'd have to do is paint himself green and he could do Shrek at kids parties, you'd be surprised what he can lift, you can't weigh any more than me and he could probably throw me to the end of the garden :rotfl:

btw He's the most non violent person ever, but no one would pick a fight with him to find out... I've told him he should go out in town in a pink tutu, noone would say a word :rotfl:
