It may well be you are coming down with a cold or other lurgy too.. there seem to be a fair few of those around at the moment.. though I think it is quite normal to have off days when pregnant anyway.

If the gaviscon isnt working go see the quack and request the ranitidine it is really good.

The problem being of course the hormones which relax your muscles and ligaments are not restricted they work on them ALL which include the sphincters at the top and bottom of the stomach so acid ecapes more freely.. which causes the symtoms.. try to not lay completely flat I found that helped to a degree.. and eating horrid dry stuff like toast/sarnies made mine much worse... wet food was so much better

Hello all! Advice please? Excuse the bluntness as i am on my phone! Im nearly 33weeks pregnant with 2nd child :-) i have terrible lower back ache abd a stingy pain on righthand side of tummy. I dont need the bathroom either lol. Generally feel crappy. Acid rellflux like theres no tomorrow! Anyone else had this? Seems early for all this? Tia xx

If you are not feeling quite right then get yourself checked out at your local maternity unit.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Congrats Claireloo!

I photographed a wedding yestarday- even though I had help with me, it was still hard, much harder than I'd thought with being pregnant. 14 hours on my feet, constantly jumping up and down- I was asleep in seconds on the way home! I think that's the last wedding scheduled before the birth anyway, I do only a few a year....

Resulted in my ankles being so swollen this morning- I couldn't feel my anklebones! And was so sore in between my legs- barely slept much last night as I couldn't get comfortable. I'm trying to ignore my back, DH has confined me to the sofa for the day, and has promised footrubs when he gets home....

I got a cheap yoga ball from Argos for 4.99, it's really good and seems so strong.....
  • Evening all :)

Congratulations claireloo and well done to the latest bolides lol :)

5 from the top now and its getting ever closer, went for our hospital tour today and it was enlightenting, took us ages to find reception lol so proved its worth there and then :) The wards were completely dead, no one in labour, no one coming in and there were only 3 ladies up on the wards with new arrivals, was like a ghost town, but there were lots of staff around ready and waiting for more babies to arrive.

Its all getting a bit real now, which sounds stupid i know, but i think im just getting used to the idea that i am going to have to go through labour at some point.

Have been a bit off colour since friday, nothing major just tired, achey and more grumpy than usual (i think, havent asked OH just in case lol) am definately sleeping worse as well, but OH has been amazing, making me laugh, being massivly supportive and reminding me to eat/drink/rest etc, am thinking that if he is half as good during labour we will be fine.

Hope those with aches and pains are not suffering too much, sounds like its baths all round tonight!

    congrats sammy and welcome

evening all, hope everyone is doing well. x not many of us around today it looks like.

not much to update, have my maternity tour at the hospital on tues , midwifes again on wed and back to work for my last two days on thurs and fri. although i wasnt meant to be on maternity till the 9th but i cant face that last week at work. i run a kitchen so its 8 till 2.30 on my feet and i know i cant manage it now.

oh also my mum text me on fri and told me she was off to blackpool with my brother and family for the week, lovely for her but she obviously forgot she was meant to be having my boys for that thurs and fri whilst im at work so now need to re arrange minders lol

have had a headache for about the past 4 days now i think its just from feeling so tired all the time and lounging around, need to get some motivation and get out the house (and i dont mean for the tesco shop lol)

have booked the boys in for a fish pedicure on wednesday too, havent told them yet will surprise them with it they asked ages ago for one as i have been a few times and they feel left out lol
now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j
  • how did i get to be fourth on the list after the boldies?! :T:eek: quite exciting really :D

    welcome sammy :)
