A question about bleeding after birth. I have really heavy periods and have to take meds, so will this mean that I bleed loads after birth or is it completely different?
completely different.
I have disgusting AF too.... though after my first 8 I bled for 6-8 weeks.. but only the first 2-3 days was heavy it was just minor stuff after that.. I bled for 2 weeks after Squeak and wasnt heavy at all.. despite the fact the muppet at the hospital insisted I would have PPH... felt soooo good that told you solol
No word from Winnie???Hope she is ok

hi hope everyones is ok today, weather still a bit pants here but have to go out today bah humbug. eldest had doctors and then have to take kittens for injections,
then up to see our tenantwho is being a whinge bucket lol asked him if he wanted the whole flat decorated, he said yes so we informed him it would take around 8 weeks in all as we are only doing it during the day when he is at work mon to fri and it will get a bit messy in the rooms we are doing. so two weeks into decorating he is now asking howmuch longer its gonna take arggh. i wouldnt mind but its a 2 bed quite large flat , he is there on his own and he isnot the tidyiest or cleanest of people anyway. i have a good mind to tell him we will finish thewhats been started and he can go whistle for the new kitchen and bathroom
anyway on to a happier note, my mum has organised a baby shower for me this evening so quite looking forward to that.xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Hi, went to boots and got 3 4 2 on a bt 150 baby monitor reduced, £34. so bought 3,1 for me, 1 for a friend & 1 for ebay which will make mine more or less the free 1.
Then called in a mothercare and got a Stokke care change table, ex display for £100 so well pleased but now i have it at home think it may be too big for the room were going to use as the nursery.
But defo feel like im getting a bit more organised.0 -
Been looking into Pregnancy Yoga classes, as it's the only pregnancy friendly exercise thing I can find in my area. Has anyone done anything like this? Did you enjoy it?/find it worthwhile? It's not the cheapest and can only be bought in 8 week blocks
Maybe NI's bad at ante-natal exercise classes just. The only thing offered within 20 miles of me is some buggy-jogging class, which the receptionist recommended- 'You could put a sack of potatoes in your buggy as a pretend baby.' I'm not jogging at the size I am with a sack of potatoes in a buggy! The mental health team would be looking for me if I did. It hurts to walk for longer than a few minutes! :rotfl:
Swimming is pretty much the only thing, so will maybe go tonight.
Yestarday at the mw, she said she'd see me at the end of Sept- 'for your 30 week appointment'..... Actually sat there thinking- 30 weeks? No. Can't be, I'm really, really not ready for that!0 -

We have the normal ante-natal classes booked, and despite the fact in his companys handbook it says he is entitled to time off I doubt my OH will be able to come as they are nights.
I lay in bed at night thinking about the weeks ticking away, and really don't know what I'll do when the babies born
That's hilarious, who would even do that?
The yoga I'm looking into is South Belfast or Lisburn. It's £50 for 8 weeks, I'm planning on giving her a phone today, to see what the deal is, if you start right away or if it's in 8 week batches. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly, let me know, might be interested. Would be a half-hour drive for me maybe.0

It's just off the Lisburn Road, so not too far south. They have classes in Finaghy too but they're during the day. Will give her a phone once I get OH out to work etcThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Morning ladies
LOL lirin just imagining you jogging with a sack of spuds!! made me chuckle!
Have a lovely baby shower mirror!
Been up since 4:30, played some bingo, done and on the line, dishwasher on, kitchen clean, OH's dinner/tea in slow cooker. I'm worn out now though!!
Still waiting to hear if OH got the job he rang agency yesterday they said the company havent made a decision yet so still keeping my fingers crossed, but havent got my hopes up in case he doesnt get it, at least he has a job alreadyx
Got midwife at 12, need to go get non bio washing powder and softener then I can wash rest of baby's clothes and bedding, my friend is bringing a bag for me tonight so bag will be packed tomorrow
slowly but surely getting organised. First wage of maternity pay today I got way more than usual!!!! just gonna save some of it incase they've made a mistake and take it off me again next month, its a nice bonus if its right though. The only thing I can think is we get paid for the month where in so I will get an average of my last 3 months wages plus we get any enhancements due from the previous month?? anyway i'll wait for my wage slip to come through
Hope winnies ok

I'm in labour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waters went at 1.30am and contractions started pretty much straight away but not unbearable pain. Went to hospital, got examined and sent home. Contractions are now every 6 minutes or so and lasting 30 seconds but again not unbearable. So.....I have to wait it out at home and if nothing much happens I will be induced tomorrow morning.
Keep you posted....Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
