I start off each day feeling relatively mobile.

Feel a bit like a tub now! :) Every day I've distinctly less enthusiasm for stairs, long walks, etc..... Plus, I think I'm starting to waddle.

    Afternoon ladies,

Well the midwife appointment went well i think. My BP is slightly up from the norm but only to be expected at this stage, it's 124/80 so not high but just higher than normal for me. My iron levels seem to have gone back up which is good, and baby is still 2/5 engaged. Was hoping for squid to have moved down a bit more really but i guess baby will come when ready:)

She read through my birth plan and seemed happy with everything, then wrote in big red letters across my notes that if all is normal in assessment then i can be midwife lead..yay!

I hope that squid will come on the due date, or at least that weekend so i make it to September, but guess you can't plan these things, the only thing they seem worried about is how big the baby will be.

    28+3 - 1400g
    32+3 - 2193g
    37+3 - 3542g

These are obviously all estimated, but slightly worrying that 3542g is about 7lb 8oz so the baby was already that at 37 weeks...oh my, what if i go over to induction date, it could be a monster!

Anyone know how accurate the estimated weights are?

I don't have much experience of it ecoelle but the midwives and consultants worried my friend silly about her "underweight baby" and he was 6lb 8oz. My other friend was warned to expect a 10lber and her baby was a teeny tiny 6lb 3oz.

  • Up early again today Womble? Poor you, I guess it's your back?

Yup!! I did manage 5 hours in one go though :j
Been back to bed this afternoon for a catch up nap, the past 2 days I have tried not to sleep in the hope I will sleep through the pain at night, but no joy, it has just made me grumpy and bad tempered, to the point where I have 'had words' with strangers in shops :o

She called, and I'm off to hospital for monitoring - will update later. Positive vibes please ladies :) xxx

Hope everything is ok Winnie and that you're soon home again!

PP sorry to hear that your OH wasn't interested in baby kicking, maybe because he has done it all before?

Wow- Boots are nice to deal with.

Just rang and queried the order thats missing- showing as being on my doorstep. Instantly offered replacement, and email 2 secs later to confirm!

Going to pin DH to pc now, and look at Boots offer stuff- he's been through this once already....

  • Oh dear :( Maybe he will improve once baby is born.

FIL has been up today to help OH finish building the wardrobes :j I'm really pleased with them. Now once we have some energy we can empty the nursery and get that finished.

I went to Boots today and took advantage of the 3 for 2, bought myself some ............. maternity pads! Woo hoo!! :rotfl: There isn't much left that I need to get so splashed out on 6 packs of pads!

We are back at the hospital tomorrow for a heart echo and meeting with the heart specialist :o

Maybe my back pain is stress related due to worrying about baby's health issues .... I had to ring my manager today to let him know that I won't be back at work tomorrow when my Doctor's note expires. I hate ringing in sick, I feel so guilty :( He was fine about it and is supportive but I still feel really bad :( Fingers crossed my massage at the weekend helps things.

    I used a whole 5 pads when I had Squeak! .. lol.

It took him until Squeak was 10 months to have any kind of relationship with her.. now she just beats him up lol
