Thanks PP - I'm going to sit and see what other interesting questions I can come up with for you to answer in your usual delicate style!!

But my kind of delicate is informative.. :D

You can google the consultant's name. We have a couple of Bupa hospitals in these parts and a lot of the consultants work at both the Bupa and NHS and have info on at least one website.

If you're reading this, Lauralou, all the maternity ones I've met at Poole were lovely without exception.

The emergency consultants in Bournemouth are really nice too though. Can highly recommend getting ill here :rotfl:

  • I googled him and just got something saying he was an Obs and Gyne consultant. Not very informative, and certainly no pictures. I might secretly take a pic of him and put a review on a website somewhere so other strange hormonal ladies can benefit!

It can be disconcerting when you've got on the bed and have your modesty covered only by a sheet and the consultants says:

'Ooops they've forgotten to top the gloves up, The box of Large is empty - I'll be right back!

Honestly happened to me once

well back from the midwife, the little tinker is still back to back, grrrrrr, time to get the space hopper out i think!!!
i'm measuring ok, head down and 4/5th palpable, i asked to be weighed for the 1st time since i was booked in and i am amazed that i'm exactly the same weight as i was back at 8 weeks, even with a huuuuuuge tummy and a baby that feels like a umpalumpa!!!

Elvis is still the wrong way too! Not back to back anymore but on the wrong side or something.

Midwife said pretty much the same as PP and said to try the positions but that baby will do what they want.

I love this idea!! Although i have banned myself from google, i find way too much to make me worry lol

Hope your tummy is not hurting any more!

MW said that Elvis is just about in the brim and that measurements are fine (although only measuring 35 at 37+2) blood pressure is up for me but normal for you regular folks (101/71) and my cankles are just a fashion accessory for the next few weeks until Elvis decides to make an appearance.

Hope everyone has had a good day and that those with aches and pains get some relief :)
  • Tummy is much better thanks, although not at all sleepy, have just got back into bed after going for a cuppa, doing the washing up and sorting through a big stack of paper work... Oh and doing the Tesco shop online for a 9am delivery!!

    Morning ladies

Sending huge labour vibes to the boldies - hoping they're not needed as you're already having mummy cuddles.

Baby went MAD overnight - I got up for a wee and obviously woke him up as he just wouldn't settle down again - he kicked my side so hard at one point he hit a bed spring and there was a huge "boing" noise!! :D Must have been around 45 mins before I got back to sleep - not good. Little monkey. :)

6 days left at work - and counting............. :T

    xDx

  • Up early again today Womble? Poor you, I guess it's your back?

I'm going to ring the mw about that pain in the top of my bump in a bit. I left it last night to see if it was indigestion or something but it didn't ease and it hurt all night. Baby is much lower down and I can see toes poking out of my belly button so I don't think its him kicking. I hate fussing (I know I moan a lot :o) but I've had the headaches with flashing lights for over three weeks now so I need to get it checked.

Hope everyone had a painfree evening :) HUGE labour vibes to the boldies :D xx
