Up early again today Womble? Poor you, I guess it's your back?

I'm going to ring the mw about that pain in the top of my bump in a bit. I left it last night to see if it was indigestion or something but it didn't ease and it hurt all night. Baby is much lower down and I can see toes poking out of my belly button so I don't think its him kicking. I hate fussing (I know I moan a lot :o) but I've had the headaches with flashing lights for over three weeks now so I need to get it checked.

Hope everyone had a painfree evening :) HUGE labour vibes to the boldies :D xx

Winnie I'm sure I've heard somewhere that that's a sign of high blood pressure, please call and get checked and good luck!

I went to bed at 9.30 last night, Feel much better this morning. :D

Morning, i went to see a consultant yesterday and just as i had been dreading-it was a young male doctor who saw me. I don't think i've had a male consultant examine me before-always been lucky and had a lady. Well that was interesting to say the least. I do have a vulvar varicosity (varicose wein on the vulva) as the midwife thought, luckily it shouldn't cause any major problems. I just need to rest when it is aching/hurting and try a cold compress. My husband will be pleased-i've been advised to buy some big granny support pants if it gets worse lol. I didn't want to ask if i should avoid sex-i felt too embarassed. I'm assuming i should go with what i am comfortable with?

The consultant had a feel of my tummy and seemed to think baby was a good size, but the midwife will do all the proper measuring and hearing the heartbeat on my next visit :)

So overall, not as bad as i had expected.

    keely.

ps-when is baby classed as being viable?

Morning ladies, hope all is well and labour vibes to those in need:)

I'm off to the midwife at 10 so had better get a wriggle on. Just waiting for the decorator to turn up then i'm going to get myself sorted and drive down there. Got a few questions for her re the birth plan but feeling strangely relaxed about the whole birth thing. I'm hoping that she'll have my blood test results and that she'll say everything is fine as it's more ammo for going midwife lead:)

Anyway better sign off and i'll pop by later to see how everyone is doing, thinking of claire, claireloo, laura237 and kellpea:)

  • wow... you girls can talk! congrats to our new mummies - very envious now.

I've had a really busy week and have been trying to keep up reading even though I haven't been able to post. I've suddenly found myself second! 6 days til due date. Still have had absolutely no twinges though which seems unusual - has anyone else not had any braxton hicks?

I'm feeling very heavy now though and finding walking very tiring now. I reached 1 metre girth this weekend which was amusing for all my family. I had mum and dad and sis and BiL down for the weekend to set up the baby things. Set up the cradle and have been resisting the urge to go and rock it wistfully. I do finally have my hospital bag packed and have started to get the inquisitive texts/emails. This waiting game is going to try my patience I suspect...

OH had 2 days off as his company insisted on using holidays up before end of august. Poor thing has been super busy and just mooched around trying to do no work for the principle. I've never seen someone so bored...

Had my 40 week appointment yesterday at 39 weeks as my midwife only takes appointments mondays and tuesdays and next week is too busy due to the bank holiday. Was a bit weird discussing induction when I've got almost 3 weeks before its an issue. Baby is still head down 2/5 palpable now and lying on the left-hand side. Really low down now so can't sit on our posh sofa and need to sit on my ball lots just to get comfy. Am waking up every hour or two in the night to go to loo and to roll over. Good practice I guess.

Better get on with washing up and off to shops for fruit, veg and milk.
    team yellow :)
Can't wait to meet you now baby!

We aren't eligible for HB on a 4 until the baby is born. They say 2 to a room here as well. I sound like a right scrounger don't I but the rents here are insanely high.

I'd be quite happy to stay with a 3 though as long as there was more space than this. I might see if there are any for sale on RM and post a floorplan :rotfl:

Mimi there's what, 5 days in it? Tell someone else off :rotfl:

Bet you end up having your baby before me anyway :)

ETA I just saw that wasn't just directed at me :o, though I agree, I should have!!

LOL no you silly sausage wasnt directed at you :rotfl: :D
