Register with readitswapit and exchange all your books. I just registered today and have had 8 requests for swaps already.

Kira, if it were me, I would go with your mum. As you say, n the slim chance that it is bad news you would hate for her to be alone. Could you get a few days off work so that you can stay over?

They arent my books.. they are all beastlet books.

Kira.. My mother has had several of those letters... it may well be something like a cyst.. in which case they keep you there 3/4 of the day and drain it.. it may be nothing to worry about :D

Okay walked almost a mile to the nearest cinema, sold out, so ran to the next closest, it was sold out too. Waddled home in a bad mood. GRRR.

Hi, well I have finfished the living room had the carpet cleaned, curtains dry cleaned & back up yesterday.
Plasterer was in yesterday morning and did the back bedroom which the two youngest ds & dd are going to share for a year till the bump sleeps through and is settled.
In the meantime i need to decorate & re carpet the back bedroom , temp move in there ourselves so our room can be plastered in 3 weeks time, and get our room finished before bump comes along so I'm defo not wanting bump to come early.
Then after nearly 8 years our house will be finished on the inside, and only the pointing will need doing on the rear of the house.
Would like a new roof on in the next 3 years or so, just so its done tho at the min its fine.
Then there is only redocorating as & when it needs doing. yeah.
Bought a baby monitor the other day from boots, in the sale. bought my car seat of a friend, so getting there slowly.
Plan to do a blitz on stuff this week, with the 3 for 2 in boots, so at least i will have my hospital bag done.
I seem to be moving up the list to quick, defo could do with more time, but will gt there.
    welcome all the newbies.
labour vibes to those in need/wanting them.
congrats to all those having baby cuddles.

Oh Gilly that's a bit rubbish!

Having a toddler in the house certainly bans lie ins lol. 8am and I've done 2 bowls of washing up, stripped the girl's beds, got it all in the washing machine and fed all 4 of them  That would have been unheard of this time last year lol.

Had quite a good evening with DD1 last night, she wanted to make ice cubes so we did that with the bags. She has just asked me for another breakfast, she is a dustbin lol. and she wants to wash up, I've got a sink full of roasting trays at the moment so have said she can do the breakfast things when we're done.

Still got 53 minutes before I can ring that letting agent. Can you tell I'm keen :rotfl: to be perfectly honest I'd pretty much pay the holding money over the phone without even seeing it :o

ETA: Mancbird please come and let us all know you're ok!

    Thanks girls,

I have rung the hospital and they've told me to come in to get checked. I've managed to get hold of OH and he's on his way home now (he's an hour away) and the hospital is 45 minutes from here. The midwife I spoke to was lovely and told.me not to worry they'd sort me out. Just going to pack some pjs etc in case they keep me in and then get a hot water bottle and wait for OH.

I'll probably feel pretty silly if it turns out to be nothing but the midwife said better to get checked out.

    Mancbird xxx

    Manc,
I was in Sat night with bad cramping feelings. I felt silly as well, DH was telling me it's something the midwifes and nurses up there see quite often....
Was just thinking I'd have been embarrassed if it turned out to be trapped wind or something! :rotfl:Mine was mild food poisoning. I got paracetamol and sent home with instructions to rest.....
I'd go up again if I need to. They asked me why I hadn't phoned in- I didn't know who I was supposed to phone- all I've been told so far is any problems after the outpatients closes at 1600, go to A&E. I got given a booklet with phone numbers for the departments, and a 24hr number for a midwife! Something handy came of it anyway.

Hope you got sorted out okay and it isn't serious.

Good luck with the house delain! Would you like to send your DD over here? I have some washing up she's welcome too ;-)

Went for our hospital tour yesterday. We were the only ones, I am now terrified! On the one hand I've had enough of being pregnant now, but on the other... labour and then actually having a baby??!??!?!?!?!!!!!

Got physio and MW this afternoon - hopefully the baby hasn't grown another 8 weeks in 2! OH says to ask the physio for a zimmer frame.

Cotbeds - we got the Mothercare Addington one, it should be £160 but we got it on offer so paid £130 I think... It's not the dearest but we went to Kiddicare and looked at cheaper ones and they seemed to defeat the object- we wanted a cotbed so it would last 4ish years, and perhaps for the next one, and the cheap ones looked like they would last 4ish months! Got the £99 sprung mattress from Mothercare too (Also on offer paid about £80).
Cot is now built and was easy to build, seems solid and good quality.
    Bump due 22nd September

Are you sure? She's 9 and been doing sex ed at school so she's full of *ahem* interesting questions :eek:

I spent the first few weeks of Squeak's life using her buggy as a walking frame lol Physio was very impressed with the way it moved :rotfl:

Having a baby is fine, it all comes to you when they're here. If it doesn't there are lots of folks here you can ask :D

Firstly, congrats on the new babies DL and JCR - can't wait for photos (don't think I've missed them!)

We went for our hospital tour yesterday - was very useful although it made it all seem very real! The post-natal ward made me feel very nervous but the delivery suite didn't bother me in the slighest. Can't believe how hot it was there though - thinking I might just go in my bikini to save the sweaty clothing!! The birthing pool room looked fab and everything was very modern and clean - definitely helped to see it all.

Anyway, it's made me realise that I need to buy more cotton wool (wipes are BANNED!) and a facial mist spray and more drinks to take. I might have to insist on giving birth outside in the gardens just to cool down!! :)

Sorry I haven't read back properly - far too much has happened since I was last on properly on Thursday. Vibes to the boldies and welcome to the newbies....

    xDx
