Cheers, delain, I certainly will! At this stage, I'll try anything- once I go to bed I can never sleep, so I'm caught in catch-22.....0

I have to do the pre labour food shop today. I don't know why I leave things until the last minute, I'm a div. Doing it today because tomorrow I plan on doing nothing... Apart from seeing my midwife and begging for a sweep even though I know she won't/can't do one for me.
This baby needs to be punctual or as close to punctual as possible or he'll end up sharing a birthday with some people I'd rather he not!
Have a good day ladies, I am braving the world with about 2 hours solid sleep. If you're in the south of Wales today... Be careful. I am grumpy.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

keelykat - yeah for a boy :j
DL - I'm not having so much of the weird dreams but I am sick of getting up to the loo - 4 times a night is pretty standard. 4am insomnia has well and truly kicked in now too. I just about manage to get back to sleep and DH's alarm clock goes off so that's me up for the day.
Abby - everyday I expect an announcement from you but no such luck- sending labour vibes to you and all that need them (wouldn't mind some myself if I'm honest although Iknow its cheeky to ask with over 2 weeks to EDD:p)
So its hot and sticky again today and I have no montivation. Ladies on mat leave - what are you all doing today - I need ideas?Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
Hey everyone - have been lurking for a while because I've not had anything useful to say!
I still haven't got anything useful to say but just wanted to send labour vibes to everyone who wants/needs themand hope that all aches and pains ease xxx

Have all the ladies with back pains considered seeing an Osteopath?
I have mentioned it before, but I keep going on about it because it made such a massive massive difference, in just a couple of sessions. I paid £35 ish per 30 min treatment, and I had 2 treatments for back pain, it's gone from having me in tears because I couldn't be in any other position that was less painful, to getting decent sleep and only the occassional twinge from sitting at work for 12 hours. I've also had one session for carpal tunnel (worked a treat!) and one session for a "poppy" and "twingey" hip.Bump due 22nd September0 -
morning all, i have 31 days left til due date and am still no where near prepared, i feel so big and uncomfortable that it's a HUUUUUUUGE effort to actually get to town and buy things,i have no car so it's bloody stinking sweaty buses where ppl r so ignorant it's unreal, that plus i have to take two kids with me who, unless i'm buying for them, will moan for england until i step foot back in the door at home!
My mother isnt well so i cant ask her to get bits for me, sister works full time, OH works silly hours and tbh i wouldnt send him, i'd ask for nappies and he'd come back with cornflakes, seriously! i'm also stressing about little legs as i have no idea what i'm going to do with her while i'm in the hospital, as some of you may recall she is 4 and has type 1 diabetes and i am the only one she'll let do injections, OH has done them at times but very much against her will and he wants to be in the hospital with me, daughter is going to my mothers but she doesnt know how to work out how much insulin to giver her, how to inject her ect and has admitted it all confuses her and she's scared of doing it wrong, so as you can imagine, i am in a pickle. i am just hoping and praying this labour is as fast an easy as my previous ones so i can get back home to her. kids eh...................:)Skint, but happy (ish):p0 -
Keelykat congrats on team blue!
Claireloo I'm amending my plans for today having just got back from a very hot dog walk. I will now be doing sweet f a! You won't get much chance of that soon so I vote for a day of chillaxing!
Sequeena good luck battling the food shops. Try and relax afterwards if poss.?0 -
I'm still in bed
I've been ultra tired the past two days, I think this baby is sapping my life force.
Have to get up though, have discovered I have £78 in a barclays e saver account (been in there over a year I'd have had no idea but I phoned barclays to ask them something) but can't access it as I don't have a current account anymore. So been told to go and see if they will take it out in branch because I can't access the online system without a current account. And the current account is with the in-house debt collectors on a payment plan.
And then I intend t have a KFC. I've tried resisting the greasy lure and can't do it anymore. Don't want the chips. Just want the chickenMoney money money.

Morning everyone, I'm 38 weeks now and apart from crampy period type pains every now and then there's no sign of baby being ready to come out anytime soon. Which is a good thing as I'm still not ready:rotfl: I finally packed my baby bag and my hospital bag but I don't think mine is big enough for everything and I've still to add my towel:( I read about peeps having a bag for labour and then a separate one for after- anyone else doing this?
Clarieloo & WW, I feel for you both re the lack of sleep. I can't sleep during the day anymore even though I'm tired and every other night seems to bring insomnia. But then I guess its just a taster of whats to come so I better just get used to it. Not much to do today- I'm waiting in for my pram to arrive:j and then OH is taking me out to dinner later. I'm looking forward to it but feeling slightly panicked and upset that this could be our last time out as a couple. I'm also worrying a lot this past week about my little dog feeling left out and unloved when baby arrives-hormones are crazy things!
WonderWomble and Neas- I've just read back through your recent posts and I really admire your attitudes to the challenges you have both faced. I wish you both all the best x
Keelykat, congratulations on being team blue:T
Lirin, hope the back ache eases for you soon and Twinkle, that all sounds like a nightmare to sort out but I hope you manage somehow.
Winnie & Puzzled, I mostly lurk too these days:D
Doglover, my dog is staying with my parents for a few days so no dog walks for me at the minute which is bliss as I'm really struggling, especially with the heat.
And Abby and Sequeena, have some more labour vibes:D:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
morning ladies.
abby i half expected to see a birth annoument, i hope it not long for you hun.
Well i'm feeling sorry for myself. i'm swelling up like a ballon, the braxton hicks are worse and i'm so tired.
but on plus side, the weather is gorgeous ( even if do have a fan on in every room on full speed for a bit of air, lol) my kids have been so well behaved even tho we havn't got out as much as would hope as it hurts to walk do to my gorgeous puffy ankles.i had good sort out in house, loads of stuff selling or sold on ebay and i feel like i'm making some head way.
baby really isn't moving much, but then i think that is to be expected now. he is 3/5 head down midwife said she wouldn't expect him to engage due to 3 previous sections and my stomach muscles not being strong enough to hold him in which is why when i do get braxton hicks the pressure is alot as he is trying. shame little man is doing all this when he doesn't need to. he could just be chilling.
i'm desperate for hubby to get some time off but he has no time off until the 17th and he working till midnight on the 16th( day baby coming) he has so much work on at the mo.0
