Womble I never got to see our little boy in 3D, I was so hoping they'd show me (was at FMU in Cardiff UHW) but they didn't :(

This was our first scan at FMU (18+4)

And this was our second at 20+4. I absolutely love this as he looks like he's kicking himself in his head!! :rotfl:

We went to a 50 quid baby well being scan and we got 6 3d pictures as well as a 2d one.

This was in cornwall though, think you cant get 3d pics on nhs as the 3dimensional part is simply interpreted from the 2d part and not required for diagnosis and measurements.

When we had the 16 week private scan our sonographer put the scanner on then quickly pulled away and asked 'you do know the sex right?'

We said yes, a boy and she said 'oh great see what i mean'.. and our boy was pointing straight outwards to the scanner spread eagle with his little manhood for all to see lol. We going to go back and do
    it again around 26 weeks.

yea we will only have 8 or so by end (6 on NHS), and for us the wellbeing scan was more for peace of mind while waiting between CVS results and 20 week anomaly scan.

They say best time to have scan is 23-29 weeks for best images...so guess you passed that :P

Yes I think it would truly be a waste now :rotfl: One of my scans was at 28+4, it was only 2D but we got a really nice picture of his face, I think that would probably be the best time xx when they're baby looking but before they put all their weight on as I've been told this makes the pictures not as great?

I just wanted scans to keep seeing the baby. I have no medical reason for it I just wanted to see him! I did get a third scan at 38 weeks as my bum measured and still measures small which has always made me wonder if my dates are wrong but they establish a due date from the 12 week scan. Can this be wrong?

Good evening. I hope you're all well aside from itchy feet. Mine werent itchy until I read the comments!

We nearly booked a 3d scan for around 27 weeks but decided against it. I decided that it might show me too much and I fancied some mystery for the birth. We know we're having a boy but think it'd be nice to see him properly for real iyswim? That said it's obvious from our 20 week scan that he's got the same shape nose as DH but other than that I'm wondering what he'll get from each of us especially as we're totally different colourings and different shaped features.

The NHS hospital did show us 3d images and printed a couple out. This was at the 20 week scan. I think they're quite clear but he was only half cooked by then, bless!

I'm hoping for another super sleep but I suspect last night was a one off.

Major labour vibes to the boldies and anyone else after them x

abby pregnancy is a funny thing isn't it? By my LMP my due date should have been today (how odd do I feel typing that!!) but by the hospital it's the 4th... and I hate to say this hun... but when I was in hospital on Friday I overheard midwives discussing a woman coming in the next day for a c section, she was 43 weeks  I never realised you could go over so far but was told by someone else that they've known a woman go to 43+5!!!!

Abbey I don't think the date from the 12 week scan is ever massively out. I'm pretty certain of my date and there's a few days difference with the scan date. Do you think you know the date?

Not exactly, it's just he is on the small side slightly length and and head circumference. And I also couldn't pinpoint my last periods starting date an they go from that? I guestimated the 26th BUT I couldn't be certain as everything was dodgy before as I had on and off bleeding for the month due to the morning after pill (yes yes this is why I am pregnant as I was a careless !!!!! of a student) and then I tried to work out the date of the period. I can't have been more than a couple of days out. I hate to say it but I had to work it out by when I first slept with the father of the baby! Oh I was such a naughty 21 year old. I fully deserved to end up in a silly situation! But....best thing that's ever happened to me in reality as I can't wait to meet this one, I just wish fluffy was the biological father. He said today that "WE chose the baby's name" and everyday he shows more and more fatherly instinct. Who would have known in January I'd be this happy. Off topic anyway, I thought I knew when conception had occurred as it was the one time I am sure that I was careless however my friend has suggested it was a week after that as the night I am referring to happened on the 22nd not 11th of November. So really I have no idea as to the conception date.

I'm being induced on Sunday if he isn't here by Friday just in case something goes wrong apparently

I've just realized that might be slighty confusing, it was the month before my last period that everything was up and down and then the conception date thing, I'm pretty sure it was the night of a friends birthday however he says his birthday was the 22nd but I thought it was the 11th
