abby pregnancy is a funny thing isn't it? By my LMP my due date should have been today (how odd do I feel typing that!!) but by the hospital it's the 4th... and I hate to say this hun... but when I was in hospital on Friday I overheard midwives discussing a woman coming in the next day for a c section, she was 43 weeks  I never realised you could go over so far but was told by someone else that they've known a woman go to 43+5!!!!
My brother was born at 43 +1 and I know someone else who had all hers (11) at 42-44 weeks... because she just refused to be induced.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Sequeena they're fab scan photosWe have only had 3 so far, one at 7+4, 12+3 and 20+1. Got another at 28+1 and a private one at 31 weeks. After the 28 week scan we shall see if they want to do any more scans, I'm sure they will, but the novelty hasn't worn off yet
We bought the private one on living social for £99, mainly because we get a 15 minute DVD with it and we thought it would be a nice keepsake.
Well after a trip to the GP yesterday for my back pain I came away empty handed. He checked my water, chest and BP and everything fine so said to just get out of bed when my back hurts and walk around for a couple of hours :eek: There are only so many laps of the dining table you can do at 3am without going insane
Just by coincidence i was at the ante natal clinic at the hospital to see the Consultant yesterday too, so she checked everything again and it is all definitely fine. She gave me a prescription for codeine, and I was so happy at the thought of getting a decent night's sleep that the 2 hour wait for a 15 minute consult was almost worth it!
Well, it was until the pain kicked in at 2 amI managed to sleep on and off until 4am when I finally got up. OH and I are sitting here, me with the TENS machine on my back, laughing that this will be what it is like when I go into labour, although I think the laughter is more to do with delirium caused by sleep deprivation.
The good news is that my consultant said that I can use the 'run of the mill' TENS machine that I've got at home and don't need a specific maternity one, now or in labour.
PP my o button is broken on my laptop and it is really bloody annoying. It only works if you give it a good wallop, so when I finish typing I have to go back and put all the o's in :mad:0 -
Hey hope everyone is well. Nearly finished my shift which means 7 left! Woo. And I've swapped my nights next week so only 2 of my remaining shifts are night shifts! double Woo. It is a very strange feeling, does anyone else feel a bit odd about finishing work?
Pigpen you can try cope and pasting these ' @ at least then you can kind of write email addresses!
Abby - Hope you're on your way today so Fluffy has a chance of being there!Bump due 22nd September0 -
Poor you WW, I do feel for you. I get the odd twinge when I've been in bed but find it's the constant need for a wee that ruins my sleep. Last night was almost not worth the sleep effort again but hey ho, only 2 weeks till the official EDD! Although I know it could be another 4 weeks yet.
I've got the midwife later so I'll see if she has anything to report. Doubt it though as I don't feel like he's getting ready.
I've only just started having vivid baby dreams. Last night i dreamt that I bumped into an old friend and told me of the horrors of labour. Apparently you vomit constantly, milk sprays from your human udders in a constant flow throughout the entire labour and it's always at least 50 times worse than you've imagined!!! Thank god there was enough obvious BS there to make me realise it wasn't a premonition!!
I'm planning a fairly lazy day today and will just do a bit of housework, cooking and mooching. The manic nesting bug hasn't hit me yet!
I hope all of you has a nice day ahead and those still working - I hope it isn't too much of a hard day.

Morning Ladies,
Been lurking as usual, hope the itchy feet have stopped now and that everyone has had a good nights sleephayleythedaisy wrote: »Hey hope everyone is well. Nearly finished my shift which means 7 left! Whoop for having just 7 shifts leftI have 9 working days left at work now and am on a proper count down - but i am bricking myself, im not sure if its becuase i am leaving the area, leaving friends, leaving work or becuase of the impending arrival lol, but i am all over the shop
Give it a week or so and we will be wondering how we managed to fit work into everything
WW and Neas hope that things continue to go well for you and that you get the results of everything quickly. Im sorry i dont have anything more constructive to add.
PP can you give the keyboard a quick hover? normally i end up with the odd crumb or crisp in the keyboard which causes typing issuesOtherwise as Hayley said try copying and pasting
Labour vibes to all that need/want them

Morning all.
Nothing new here at all- my back is killing me as usual, and I'm getting really annoyed now that all I do is sleep (Sorry WW, I'll send you some sleep vibes).... since 5 weeks I'm yawning all day, and conked by 1900, and I keep getting told nobody can do anything even though it's prob low iron as haemophiliac doctor hasn't seen me yet. I eat plenty of green vegetables and so on- it's not diet-related. I just would love to sit in the cinema and see the end of the film.....
Still, it's a lovely day, and one less to maternity- horray! (Only 72 to go, can you tell I'll be happy?)
Congrats Keely on the boy!
Doglover, I'm having weird dreams. I don't know if that's all that unusual though for me- I had before pregnancy, just not as many....
Pigpen, hope it's easier for you this morning....0 -
