Shes a right spark, just heard her tell mum, "Mum I need to learn to cook for when I am an adult. I'll need to know how to cook for my kids"Money money money.

Many congratulations msfc. I hope you're both doing well.
I've packed my labour bag (excluding tens) and think I have most things ready for hospital/staying over bag apart from clothes for me. Decided to keep them separate and leave the overnight bag in car until I need it. It made it all scarily real but I'm still hoping to go at least 4 days overdue (so I can go to a really good friends wedding) so I should *crosses fingers* have 6 weeks left.0 -
Neas - Wow. Sincerely hope the heart scan shows you everything you want.:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0

Neas: That's a lot of stress for both of you! If your wife knows you post (or wouldn't mind lol) please pass on big hugs from us for being so strong and having faith in your baby, and good luck with the other scan.abby1234519 wrote: »Oh and my 8 year old sister is getting dragged to hospital as I want mum to come and Rhi is off school so has to come. Well at least she's planning to cook for them and not take them to McDonalds every day like my 7 year old said she would with her kids when she's grown up!
Can your sister not have a friend on standby to go to? My DD's friend sometimes comes to stay when their parents are busy.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks for sharing neas. What a nerve wracking time. I would say you can relax now butni know it's not that easy! I hope the rest of your wife's pregnancy goes smoothly.
Good luck at the hospital Abby. I agree that it's best to get checked if anything unusual happens.0 -

Well the risk we have at the moment is for minor heart problems that can be treated with surgery. The major heart problems are usually picked up at the 20 week anomaly scan one that worried me was hypoplastic left heart syndrome (it requires a heart translplant which as people know will only work for say 20 years), but that ones detectable during the 20 week scan.
Even at the 20 week scan our babies nuchal was 7.8mm but the maximum limit can be 6mm so its not as bad. The nuchal is just an indicator of a 'potential' problem. With a bigger nuchal meaning a higher risk.0 -
Hi All,
We have one last heart scan on Wednesday, which should hopefully put us in the clear.
Its been a long 11 weeks.
Oh and our EDD is 29/11/2011
Neas, I can't begin to imagine the stress and worry you have both been through!! What a terrifying experience, especially the CV sampling - I felt sick just reading about it. I totally agree with you in that it's better to have a 16% chance, than a 0% chance. It sounds like the statistics are going in your favour, thank God. I hope Wednesday goes well and that you can start to enjoy the pregnancy. Sending hopes and hugs for a happy outcome for you both.
Congratulations MSFC, and labour vibes to those wanting them.First Baby born January 2007
