Hi ladies, been trying to read back, bu the thread moves so quick i'm struggling to keep up!

Only 12 more work days left til i break up for two weeks holiday, and then i'm starting maternity straight away after the holiday, so now i'll get 14 weeks full pay at the start of my maternity:)

I've been drinking 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea each day now, and am upping it to 3 cups from tomorrow. Is anyone else drinking it and finding that it's giving them 'period type' pain? I am finding that i'm getting period pains about 2 hours after drinking the tea, i'm guessing this is due to the muscles 'practising' anyone else think this is right?

I'm not starting raspberry leaf tea until 35 weeks as midwife mentioned it could induce labour, not just make muscles stronger! Four weeks to go! Do you get it from supermarket or only places like Holland & Barrett?

Lirin, would you not be able to get a private scan so OH won't miss out? They do them where I am for about £60....

Private scans in NI are usually around the £240ish region. So few clinics over here do them.... A weekend away and getting one done has been suggested, at least we'll get more for our money. (Um, if we have it!)

Just counted I have 76 more working days until I go off on leave. I'm not counting the weekends. That's too high a number! :)

They don't even do the scans here.. it is an hour and a half drive to the nearest place that does :(

Next week.. I promise there will be fewer than 76 working days left :p

Ecoelle - I've been having one cup a day (I'm 32+5) since 32 weeks - I've not noticed anything but presume it will be the RLT giving you cramps?

21 working days left for me - can't come soon enough - baby has been squirming all day and it's really uncomfortable sitting over a desk... :(

Labour vibes to all boldies, and where's Apricot? She's here every day - having mummy cuddles by now?

    xDx

i'm drinking it and finding the same. i've been drinking it just under 2 weeks now and the period pains started at the beginning of this week, they're only very mild though and only happen in the evening.

skint_catt - i got some RLT in tesco, it was by clipper, i've also got some in holland and barrett. it tastes pretty vile despite smelling nice but a large slosh of ribena makes it taste better. :)

I got mine from H&B but I have heard Tesco does it too?

My midwife said fine to have a cup a day since week 32, increasing a cup a day on weeks 34, 36 and 38.

Hi, just a quickie to say that my midwfie was very firm about not touching RLT until at least 36 weeks. She said it could bring on early labour. It seems they all have their own views but after she said that I didn't want to take the risk. That said, I'm on the capsules because I couldn't stand the taste and have been popping them for about 10 days and I've not even noticed BH let a lone labour!

I too have been wondering where Apricot is??!! Fingers crossed for her and vibes to everyone who wants them.

I hope MSFC is still feeling ok today.

Hugs to mancbird and anyone else needing them.

I have bought RLT but not started drinking it yet. Keep meaning to then forget. Anyway, I get little period type twinges/pains now at 34 weeks. So it could be the tea causing yours, could just be happening anyway.
