Baby's towels have arrived..
.. Just the monitor to get now and I think we have everything we are getting before Dot arrives.
Just to wear you all out...
I am emulsioning the 14ft square room shortly..... Hopefully I'll get 2 coats on today.. might get OH to give the manky bit on the cornice and frieze and once over with the white gloss too. I need to slop a last coat on the cupboard door.. touch up a couple of bits on the fire surround where the decorator chipped it and the door is being rehung today too. I need to whizz through the boys room as well before they get home tonight.
I have already vacuumed through downstairs!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks ladies.
I've seen a consultant at about 13 weeks and she refered me to the anaesthetist. I'm fairly open to most ideas- i dont think its good to have a fixed view on what i'll want on the day. Ideally i think i'd prefer to be able to shift around somewhat and not be permanently tied to the bed with tubes and leads. I had heard some good things about a new thing, beginning with R, which you self administer when you need it to give you just enough, rather than a complete knock out. Quite like the sound of that. But know nowt about it!
Appointment is late this afternoon, so i'll certainly update you all on what it was all about when i've been!
Hi Kira, A few pages back I posted a reply to your Q on the drug beginning with R. It's called Remephentenol, probably spelt wrong, but the midwives just call it Reme, so ask about that. It is supposed to be great for first time labours. I think it goes into your hand like a drip, and you self administer it, as you said.
I think i have quite a high bmi, at 34, but no one has mentioned it. I'm a size 18, but this doesn't seem to be an issue. Think I'd be quite cross if they did try to make it an issue!First Baby born January 2007

Thanks Alison,
Sorry i must have missed your post, I'll go looking! Yes, i think that sounds like the thing i heard about. I'll see what they say, being a first timer.

I know my BMI wasn't brilliant with Squeak (28 or 29 or something) and no one ever mentioned it, bar a fleeting reference to the view bring restricted in my 12week scan.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

hi all labour vibes to the boldies.
OMG just realised doglover and I are joint 5th on the list after boldies now im scared lol
im bored today as not able to do much did loads yesterday including painting skirtingboards in conversion and cutting in in some of the corners but then after shower realised i was spotting. rang hosp who wanted me to go in so at 11.30pm OH and i set off for hosp. poor OH was a bit emotional and when i told him not to worry he said it was bringing back memories of driving to the hosp when we had MC bless him he will be so relieved when fidget is here. i was put on monitor and doc checked me over and everything was ok (new it would be i didnt tell them id been painting coz couldnt be bothered with a telling off) and we came home at 1.30am poor OH was shattered and had to go to work this morn. at least we got a practice run for the big day. but im now banned from doing anything by OH i really want to do some painting coz its driving me nuts but he will kill me if i do.
on the plus side we are officially full term today 37 wks.
and OHs work have told him yesterday if i go over my dates he will be allowed to take his mobile in as long as its on silent. he works in an office so cant see the problem with taking it in now (which hes doing anyway as of this wk):coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:
 but alcohol solves them all

Glad youre ok msfc. Your poor OH, sounds like he was worried. Rest for today at least please! The painting can wait until tomorrow can't it? At the very least, resting today will recharge your batteries so you can get back to it tomorrow.
Pigpen - are you going to post a photo when the room is done? We've heard so much about it and I can't picture how the colours you described will look.0 -
I second the wanting a photo!
