Have never even heard of the film! But judging what others have said I dont think I want to watch it
Quick question re bottles/steriliser etc... I would like to breast feed, but at the same time am not going to beat myself up if it doesnt work out.
Have seen Tommee Tippee starter kit in Babies R Us for half price, not sure whether to get it just incase BF doesnt work out. Has anyone else who plans BF got bottles/steriliser etc just in case?Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
How far do you travel from your local hospital? I probably wouldn't bother keeping it in the boot as first labours are usually a good few hours at the very least so should give your OH time to go home and get the bag and then meet you if necessary? You could always pack a small bag if you are really neurotic
just put in what you absolutely cannot live without when you're going to be in labour?
Ummm, i work 85 miles away from home, when im down here i stay with relatives who live 45 miles away from the nearest hospital.
When i drive home im driving alone ....
think ive answered my own question, will be packing my bag asap and keeping it with me lol

Hey,
Im planning on bf'ing as well and have three or four bottles and steralising tablets etc ready on a small scale just in case we have problems, but also in preperation for OH to be able to bottle feed once breast feeding has been established.
Hope that helps

Yep Im planning on breastfeeding but have 8 bottles and a microwave steriliser. If BF does work out Ill give expressing a try after a few weeks so OH can help out with some of the feeds.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
They might give you a support belt - I did find mine helped last time!
I can't have one.. I have arthriis in my hips and any pressure on them I will be quite literally unable to walk a step!Pigpen can't one of the older children look after Squeak when it's time?
Nope.. there won't be any here!
Lozzy.. here you are in 2 nights max with a section.. which is all they keep you inwith a first baby anyway.. I was home in under 24 hours.. sort a bag of extra bits for you and baby and leave it somewhere accessible at home so if you need more he canjust bring it in.
Flower.. I have never got bottles etc in case I couldn't bf.. I just was going to whether the baby liked it or not lol.. the shops are open 24/7.. if you need anything you can get them any time and having them in the house means you intend to use them!
kandboys.. what heat?? it has been 17' at the highest today.. and very pleasant it was too.. above 18' I am unbearable!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thank you for the advice! Think I will get a couple of bottles in and some sterilising tablets just in case.
Pigpen - I have to disagree, having them in the house just means I will be prepared just in case, doesnt mean I am definitely going to use them! Dont particularly want to send OH out to shops at 3am if things get bad, and I'm certainly not going to torture myself or baby if it really isnt going to happen.
Think I will certainly be happier knowing I have a few supplies in the house if I need them.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
You are more likely to think you need stuff at 3pm when the cluster feeding starts than 3am..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

so 2days max for a c section bl00dy hell i hope i can do natural again DD was a very easy labour although did need gas and air for the stitches _pale_ lol nothing prepares you for them0 -
