hayleythedaisy wrote: »Any one able to give me an idea of bump sizes post labour? I know I'll still have a bump for a while, I just wondered how much of it goes when baby comes out.
(I'm not really vain, just trying to work out what size nightshirts to get) Got one that's a couple of sizes bigger than my usual pre preg size but it only just fits now. Wondering if I need to get bigger ones or not!
Tbh I don't think you can really know. When my sister had my niece she was able to fit back into her size 8 jeans the following day!
I'd say the bigger the better for comfort - Im normally a size 10 and have size 16 nighties which are still comfy now so should be fine for after the birth. There's no pattern in the contractions/pain, what worries me is I think I'm leaking againhave rung labour ward and got their advice (monitor pad for an hour or so then go in if I'm still worried).
:grouphug: Hope everything is ok - you're full term now though so baby should be absolutely fine to come now anyway. The little man hasn't exactly given you an easy pregnancy has he?:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Thanks ladies, I'm normally about an 8, I bought a size 14 thinking that'd be about right and it's pretty snug and I'm only at 31 weeks, if I am the same as I was at 6 months it should be ok though.Bump due 22nd September0

well i went to see the MW about feeling dizzy and faint everyday and she's told me to go the my GP asap, she mentioned maybe being hooked up to a heart monitor to see whats going on there and to also have my blood pressure monitored for 24 hours, so off to the drs i go in the morning, i personally dont think it's anything majorly serious but she said she'd not come across anything like it before and couldnt advise me of what to do.
she took my BP and it is lower than usual but it's the fact that at more or less the same time every day i have half an hour of feeling like i'm gonna pass out, i have to lie down before i fall down, heartbeat pounding out my chest and cold sweats galore, then after about 30 mins, i'm totally fine!!!! it's very strange indeed!Skint, but happy (ish):p0 -

Hi ladies, lots to catch up on. Thanks for the tens link!
Sequeena I hope you're doing ok - looking forward to your updates. Apricot - you're obviously just a very cosy place to be, take it as a compliment!
I had the midwife today and apparently where my notes said 0/5 palp it was a typo!! I'm not even 5/5 yet!! I'm "brim". She said our little lad is very cosy and doesn't show any signs of wanting an early exit. She did me that RLT shouldn't be started until 36 weeks at the earliest!
2 more days till mat leave - I can't wait!0 -
 5th on the list! Hope Im not going to go bold! Have midwife coming to the house on Friday - I wonder whether she'll give me a sweep if I ask for one?
Hugs and labour vibes to those who want them!:D
That's brave asking them for one! Glutton for punishment you, sweeps are horribleMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Morning Ladies
32 weeks today, made the fatal mistake of weighing myself yesterday - i blame the crunch creams for the 4lb i gained in the last week  note to self: avoid biscuit aisle!!
Supermaiden, the guide on the formula tin is just that, a guide. Most newborns cant go 4 hours between feeds due to having such small tummies. Every 2 1/2 to 3 hours is about right on formula. The being sick is probably just him adjusting from being fed breastmilk, he may also get constipated or go the other way and have diarrhoea for a few days but it will soon settle. Bottlefed babies are more prone to colic so if he starts screaming for hours on end every evening for no known reason then invest in some infacol and always make sure the teat is tipped up enough to be full of milk so that no air bubbles get into his tummy.
Sorry if you know this already, it sounds like you have had a tough time and im just trying to help
Swimming this morning, a little shopping trip to stock up on bits for hospital bag, then have to clean both bathrooms and hoover - couldnt be bothered with these yesterday so have to do them today!
Have a lovely day all xxDue 26th July, team yellow0 -
Good morning everyone. Well another carp sleep for me - went to sleep approx midnight then woke up about 59 trillion times before getting up around 4am!! I hope no one crosses me today or they'll get it!! Hey ho, only today and tom left at work. Can anyone tell that I'm counting?!! I've got a really busy day ahead but I'll get through it easier knowing this is my last Thursday at work for a while.
My little boy was doing some sort moonwalk last night, it was really funny to watch! I don't know about anyone else but I seem to see more movement than feel it now. Sounds silly I know but i think it's because the movements are no longer kicks, more slides?? Ignore me I can tell I'm rambling but I know what I mean.
So hopefully we'll have some news from Sequeena today. Labour vibes to Apricot and Abbey and anyone else who wants them.
Have a good day everyone and happy last day at work to MSFC and any others finishing today!0 -
Hayley- thanks for the link- will definitely have a peek later....
Sequeena- Good luck if this is it.
Twinkle- Hope Doc gives you good news and it's nothing serious.
Little Angel- I range between being excited and happy one minute- and scared and terrified the next. I've said it before, so much doesn't faze me- but being a parent apparantly does. I'm worried I won't know labour until it's too late (actually think that's a strong possibility, didn't notice I'd broken my wrist once for three weeks, very high pain threshold I think). Scared I'll bounce baby off the ground, as I'm naturally clumsy. Or that I won't know if it needs fed, changed, sleep.... Everyone keeps telling me though you do know and will pick up, and hey- thousands have done this before me, with the law of averages, I'll probably be fine! So shall you.0
