I've woken up with a stinking headache again.. thankfully the painkillers for the back and pelvis work on that too so it is fading a little now... I do wonder if maybe I am not drinking enough again so a bit dehydrated.. i'll make more of an effort today!

The work on the house is basically decorating 1 room.. but in order to do that I needed new guttering.. which I paid someone to do, plastering.. which I paid someone to do... then we can start the decorating... which i am hoping to pay someone to do.. if he doesn't turn up today I am doing it at the weekend.. through necessity not choice! When I was pregnant with Squeak and decorated 2/3rds of the house I promised the girls their room would be done this summer.. I didn't know i'd be pregnant again... and i promised them so I can't go back on that.

I will not be fitting the carpet myself either... unlike last year when I did 3.. :p

Decorator meant to becoming after lunch to give me a quote and start date.. I have ceiling paint at the ready.. the room is practically empty so it wouldn't take long... (3 beds and 3 chests of drawers in there at the moment)

And when I have sorted the girls room.. and the 4 windows are replaced... I am going to save up for my kitchen tiles (the ones I want will be about £400  but it is a humungous kitchen!) See... I have a plan!

Anyway... skirting is calling... it needs scrubbing and sanding and undercoating!

    Good morning all.

Congrats missy sounds like you have got a good result and nice to know all over in 2 week's.

Well i feel amazing. the strong pain killers are fab, i feel like a new person. had a brill night sleep. so much so that i didn't even wake up when hubby got up and ready for work. i normally wake up to tell him to turn his alarms off as they never wake him ,lol. i do still have alot of pressure feeling and i'm walking at a snails pace as it is very uncomfy but uncomfy i can cope with.

hosp app went really well. and although i'm still scared of another section i love the fact they want u up and about asap. which is fab as last time i wanted to be up after a few hours and i was told to wait a bit longer but i now know i can . also got told the section might take longer due to previous scar tissues etc so not to worry. which is brill getting warned about that as i hate the bit whiel they sew ou up and baby is taken away , but i love the fact baby gets some bonding time with daddy while waiting for me in recovery. and then when i get wheeled into recovery i love seeing hubbys huge smile, it is the best smile in the world ever.

28 sleeps to go. and if i have another 28 sleeps like last night i shall feel like i'm invincable, well maybe not quite, lol. and i'm happy to consider having another baby after this. actually hubby and i were discussing this. we both think we'd regret it more not having another one, than if we did have another one. but it scary to think if we waited till baby is 2 for another, by time the baby is 10 our dd would be 20. and possible married with children herself ( hubby and i were married at 20, as was my mum and hubbys mum) scary stuff. i think you always regret not having a child but would never regret havign one. if that make sence.

having a sort out day. got lots of stuff for ebay, curtains to take up, wash and re hang. but the weather isn't working with me. it is peeing down here ! again. somehow when sorting house i make more mess and end up in a pickle.so i've warned hubby and kids the house will be a bomb site for a couple of days.

on another note , my dd has got a place on an eco warriors course running in the summer holidays. my eldest son has also got a place and wants to do it, but nervous so were going to go as a family first so he can see where it is and then it not so daunting. My dd can't wait to go and was trying to tell her teachers she needs a day off tomoz ( thurs) so she can go. tried saying it not for another week but she just wants to go. It a course learning all about owls, moths, squirres, butterflies, bats and then bug hunts and all sorts. real outdoors nature fun. and best bit it is all free. which i was amazed at. great education as well to learn about so much

pigpen i wished i lived closer to you, it sounds like yoru having great fun. i'd be round to help. i love doing all sorts like that. hubby won't let me do anything like that at the mo. i love diy and working on the home. i'm desperate to paint the garden fence, but i've been banned. so so it is a 10 ft fence and i would need to climb a ladder so prob not ideal , but i'm sure it be fine. my dad has offered to do it tho.

I love decorating and stuff too... :D I have some gorgeous mirrors needing to go up too... and some boring ones that I'll have OH do while he is on a roll :D From Tuesday next week I'll have beds to build, bookcases to build, and 2 large storage boxes to build, doors to hang and walls to paint... Poor OH won't have time to think! ;)

I had DS1 paint the fence just before easter.. he made a bit of a mess but it only cost me £20 so I don't care lol.

I am just eager to get it finished so I can concentrate on getting the baby stuff ready, I have stuffed the clothes in a chest of drawers but they need to be washed (and bleached due to Squeaks explosive bottom end!) and I want to get them done in 3 weeks (31 weeks is plenty late enough for me!)

If it stops you doing the fence... the bending and stretching required to paint the fence caused my cousins waters to break at 28 weeks... don't do it!

Morning all, hope you're all well :)

Seems ages since i popped on here, well it is! I can't believe time is flying by so quickly, i've been so busy with working and trying to sort things out before bump arrives, i've had no time for anything else! Can i really be nearly 28 weeks? I was convinced i would never get to this point. I've got midwife this friday and a glucose tolerance test next week, fingers crossed everything is okay. Oh well, better get off here again, gotta make the most of the last 2 days before i have the kids at home with me for 6 weeks!!! Take care all :)

I'm in agony again. Yesterday I had another episode, I don't know if my tummy was gassy, but when I tookd two of those tablets (asda calcum carbonate things like tums) the pain eventually went away. Didn't sleep last night and my back is just achy achy. Now the thing is, I still sleep on my back so am wondering whether the baby has turned round? I can't help but sleep on my back it just happens! My stomach is rock hard today, trying to drink plenty of fluid and all that. I just don't feel right.

I want this baby out of me. My due date is next tuesday, I can't last another 2 weeks I just want him out now.

    Morning all,

Am a bit more composed today :) thanks for the well wishes, have been counting every movement but Elvis seems ok, still got a sore stomach and a sore neck but that can be coped with as long as baby is ok. Am taking a slow drive home this afternoon and then going to curl up and sleep hopefully - although this morning i have had 4 calls from work asking questions so will probably be listening out for the phone, goodness knows what they are going to do when im off becuase i will definately not be answering to them when i am on maternity (and probably shouldnt be now but hey ho)

The Breast/bottle/formula debate seems to evoke a lot of emotions, i guess its all down to your perspective and how you are treated individually, there are so many different ways that we are being treated by midwives across the country, just hope that everyone gets the support and help that they want/need.

JCR hope the pain releif and good sleeps continue :)

Winnie hope that the infection is nothing to worry about and that midwife is able to put your mind at rest on the blood pressure.

PP hope you are going to find some time to rest :D although i always think from your posts that your worst nightmare woud be to be told to go to bed and put your feet up :)

Apricot hope your little one arrives soon so you can have mummy cuddles :)

oldies (i.e. the lovely ladies who have had their babies) thank you for dropping in and updating us, where do you all post now that the pregnancy is over? is there another board i should be [STRIKE]stalking[/STRIKE] following you on?

Lirin thanks as always :) Hope you and bump are doing ok, is your growth slowing down now or do you still feel huge?

I can't think of anything more horrifying TBH...

Decorator is papering next Tuesday so I can emulsion Wednesday and Thursday... he is doing ceiling Friday.. Monday I'll touch up the emulsion in case of slops and The following uesday the carpet can go in. (2nd August.. or 3rd, I'm not sure which is best at the moment.. need to check which day the girls are away to camp.) The girls go away for a few days then so I can spend a couple of days building and shuffling furniture and with a carpet down Squeak can come up and play.

In the meantime... undercoat and B&Q are calling!

Red carpet, silver skirting.... pale lemon and turquoise walls. Cream fire surround and doors.

Slowing down? NO! Sun before last measured my stomach and waist was 46in. Last night was 54in!!! :eek:Weight is still a couple of pounds under pre-preg weight....
Begged my boss to allow me to work from a paddling pool, he pointed out water and pc's usually aren't a good mix....
