Winnie.. I have windows being replaced mid August and plasterers in at the moment and I'm due 5 days after you.. and will be having this at least 3 weeks early. My house is currently like a warehouse .. full of boxes everywhere.. once you get into it it'l be fine.. I'd get your bedroom sorted as baby will be in with you then start on other areas.. so long as you have a bedroom and living room the rest will come together slowly and is less important.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Winnie why do they want to induce you early? I wouldn't worry about the state of the house!
I'm not entirely sure, but everytime I see her she talks like I'm already booked in for induction - I'm starting to think she knows something that I don't! Wonder if it might be because of how much I'm struggling with the SPD?Winnie.. I have windows being replaced mid August and plasterers in at the moment and I'm due 5 days after you.. and will be having this at least 3 weeks early. My house is currently like a warehouse .. full of boxes everywhere.. once you get into it it'l be fine.. Sounds very similar to my place! I'm sure it'll all come together, we've got all the plasterboard stacked in the hallway, DH just needs to get his !!! in gear and get it on the ceilings so it can be skimmed. He was so focussed on building a nursery that we aren't going to need immediately that he seems to have lost his mojo now he's finished it! Ah well, still a couple of months to go I guess!0 -
I spent a week emptying and tidying and cleaning DD1's room... thenfilled it will all the crap from the girls room.. and I cleared all the landing and that has been filled with cupboards and boxes too.... Though once the plastering is done I will start sanding and undercoating and glossing... I can do that between the decorator being here during the day and the girls going to bed.. I need to buy a door as well I remembered about 5 seconds ago.. I will get the carpet ordered and booked for fitting on the 3rd August so it all has to be done by then.. the week after that the windows are being replaced! .. I then get to put furniture back in that room.. replace 3 beds and stick a brush up my bottom and get the baby stuff sorted and washed and ready...
When I had Squeak last year I decorated and carpetted 4 bedrooms and decorated the hall stair and landing and repainted the kitchen... this is fairly normalish behaviour for me! OH did the ceilings and learned to wallpaperand I paid someone to fit our bedroom carpet but I did the rest... I advise strongly against fitting carpets at 6.5 months pregnant when you have SPD..

What I've got it.. a house that is piggin and a baby due in less than 11 weeks and I need the cotspace for the new cot so the baby has to be ousted and I can't put her in the girl room the state it is with her dodgy chest so motivation we have.
Last time I needed to decorate my bedroom before the baby arrived.. in order to decorate my room I had to do everywhere else first... I even got a new bed!!!!!!!!!!
This is the only room in the house which has not yet been decorated... in the 6 years we have been here.. they haven't even had a carpet down.. just a large rug.. which has now been flung also!
Dot has decided full bladders are uncomfy and they are to be headbutted until I go pee... ggrrrrr..... that is still pretty much the only time we get any movement!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I'm getting really fed of of the braxton hicks as I have them for hours every night now.
They come every 5 mins last for a minute & take my breath away.
I never had them with any of my previous 3 kids & on a couple of occasions i've actually phoned the labour ward thinking they were the real thing.
How am I supposed to know when I am in labour?
Harrisons head is also so low now i'm struggling to walk so can't really leave the house.
I'm booked in for an induction for the 24th but don't know if i'll make it that long before having a complete meltdown.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
