Just opened it up and the Sports is in the main box in a cardboard sleeve with the console itself

 Thanks so much, was preparing myself for having done the wrong thing. Now I shall just be chuffed that I got such a good deal before it sold out. I wonder what extra bits I need...

No probs i was dying to open it up but now i just want to play it so i've put it in the cupboard out of my way :D

I was planning to get another remote but i have decided against that for now as the plan is my son can entertain himself on the Wii when i'm doing boring stuff like feeding the new baby! So i'll be buying Mario Kart, and would like Ice Age 3, and Cars Race o Rama.

Might just get Mario Kart for now and see what turns up in the January sales for the rest.

Plus am i right in thinking a new remote is around 25 quid, but to use 2 remotes on Sports Resort i'd also need a motion plus thingy, which is an extra £17 ish?? Seems like a royal waste of money to me.

m1ck it looks good if those are the type of games you want.

Tesco has a deal also with 3 games (on top of Sports) but no accessory pack for £10 less than that, but it depends on the games you'd rather have and how important the acc.pack is

Toys R Us are doing various bundles with the basic Black Wii including Wii Sports and Sports Resort costing £159.97. John Lewis have also been doing some cheap deals on it around the same price but currently £164.95.

Toys R Us seem to be the cheapest - I ordered mine from there after spending a few weeks watching the prices elsewhere.

I think Amazon are doing the cheapest price on a second black controller including Motion Plus for £29.95.

I would like a Nintendo Wii Console with Wii Fit Plus (with Wii Balance Board).

Where is the best place to look?

Is there anything else you recommend I get at the same time. :)

    All advice welcome.

  • Play.com are doing the Nintendo Wii Console including Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort (with Wii MotionPlus) + Wii Fit Plus (with Wii Balance Board) for £229.99 which seems a pretty good deal

Also you can get cashback through Quidco

If are intending to have more than one player I would probably also buy Wii Play as that includes another Wii Remote (you should be able to buy this for around £27). You may also want another Nunchuk which will cost about £12.
  • Re: Play.com I've just noticed there's also a code on Quidco to get £5 off when you spend a minimum of £50. Expiries: 06/12/2009
