  • I too have read it all and was desparing at the point you applied for every bank account people recommended. Plus only in the last couple of pages you listed all the other defaulting payments you have.

Simon, you are not listening to the advice people are giving and just have the fixation to get a debit card so you can shop !!

Please think about your actions before you get in a worse state. I was in exactly your position several years ago.
    1. I started with an Abbey Cashplus account. I had a cashcard and I could pay direct debits
    2. 12 months of good account management with this I got a cheque book and a cheque guarantee card
    3. Another 12 months good account management and I got my delta card back.

It is that simple, please listen to everybody offering you help.

Plus get Barclays sorted NOW, you seem to be burying you head in the sand, you should have started the charges reclaim process at the time of your first post in this thread.

We are all here to help and most of us have gone through this all before so we speak from experience
  • Hi ,

I'm beginning to think this guy is a wind up merchant now.

Get your head out cloud cuckoo land and just do it. They have to deal with you even if the account is closed, its just a fob off tactic. You have just posted should I do this, should I do that for the best part of 3 months now. If you had done it on day 1 the process would be nearly finished now.

I'm sorry I can't help somebody who is not prepared to help themselves.

i think the problem is actually that you have not been candid enough - you have only recently mentioned your other debts and you have still not posted your full SOA.

i guess you dont actually want our advice, but would rather just use us to vaildate your thinking and actions - eg with the pre-pay credit card.

i honestly don't think you are yet ready to truly tackle your financial problems - but when you are - we;ll be here waiting to help you as best we can.

    good. glad to hear it.

now i'm sure you will find it a challenging process and no doubt barclays will threaten you with all kinds of things before they finally refund your bank charges but pls do not let this put you off. everything they do is designed to make you stop claiming - but in reality and legally - what they have done is charge you illegal amounts and they are in the wrong. so keep strong and keep at it.

now pls get your soa up asap so we can help you with that!

  • Finally! Its took you 3 months to do what you were advised to do in December!

You really dont come across as genuine.... you constantly ask for letter templates and people CONTINUALLY point you in the right place and CONTINUALLY give you their best advice (from being in the same position as you) and you still go your own way.

Maybe your beyond help until you 100% have your light bulb moment?!
  • Paid Barclays Debt People £10 , next payment due next month , thank you for the warning they have become very aggressive and call alot.
