  • HI simon. the website for pre pay card is https://www.mycashplus.co.uk. hope this helps. You will get one. You could also google pre pay credit cards and it will give you a number of websites. I found this one to be the cheapest to use and set up.

I need help replying to a letter i recieved today from barclays:

    It reads as follows:

Please take notice that we propose at the close of business on the 15th day of january 2007 to collect your liabilities to us and treat the net balance if any , as the only amount between you and us. This notice is given to you for your assistance as a matter of courtesy and is without prejudice to our rights at any time previously to the said time if, in our absolute discretion such a course seems to us necessary in our own interests.

What does this letter mean to any of you who have recieved such before? Someone please advise me on what to do and how to reply asap.
I have finally figured out that this letter means that they are slowly looking at ways to attach any property or finances i may have to get their money back.

Its February Citi Bank are still investigating me they say , Barclays are still charging me, i want to write to them but what should i say to them in relation to when they cancelled my overdraft from £2000 to £10 and now i owe them? I want to offer to pay them £10 per month until I have finished because i have alot of other debts at the moment,I just wrote to barclays asking them to freeze charges for 30 days.

I totally agree with you. I think though at this point in time a basic bank account would be more appropriate for simon. Less risk of him going deeper into debt. Sorry simon3000 not trying to say your not good at finances but i think it would do no harm to avoid credit cards for a while hun. Also i have told you about my pre paid mastercard. Have had mine a while and it has been a boon to me. At least i know the money on there is mine and not borrowed. and yes i know it costs to set it up but the fact i do not pay inerest and charges if i do not pay it off in time is a relief to me. You only have to apply on the net for it. there are no credit checks as you are not borrowing money. You could have it sorted by monday. bank and card. Although the card does take two weeks to come after ordering it. Hope this helps.

  • Hi things are bad kinda ,

I am transfering money onto my mastercard now, and i have an hsbc savings account opened with a card.

Barclays have put me onto their debt collectors and charged me £25 for doing this. Now that I have my cards are sorted out.I will actively go after them too. I can only afford to pay them £10 pcm which they are refusing. Is there any way they can get to my salary?
