Bitsy....it is also because the older they get the more the distance between them grows. DS wants to be in control of the other kids too:o. They put up with him and like him but dont know how to play with him as he has such an odd way of "playing".
Is your DS controlling too then? It could just be his ASD and being in control means no surprises etc but have you looked at PDA? I poo pooed the idea at first but once I read into it I could see clearly what a lot of his behaviour was about.
The woman has been from council....bit of a waste of time as like many of these things it is a questionaire with definate answers and what do you do if DS doesnt fit any of them? eg can he write sentances, 3 word phrases or just single words? Well he can write sentances but you would not be able to read it.....oh I`ll tick the box for just single words then .....well no because even when he writes single words it is hard to read it....so she was very confused at where to put it.
Also....does he hit himself, daily, weekly or less than that:mad:...it is bloody impossible to do a form like that for disabled kids with behaviour problems....needs to be open ended questions so it can be answered to suit each individual child.

Hmmm not sure about PDA (although I will look into it). It's more his way of interacting. He'll ask X will you play with me......and if he doesn't get a response come running to me. Or he'll start by saying "hey guys" (gets this from me LOL) and start shouting instructions at what to play, usually his choice of pretend game, which is currently a deadly meteor shower :rotfl:

And grrrr to the silly woman from the council......a tick list for an individual child tsk tsk......

I am so with you on that one!

Am afraid to say it doesnt seem to get any better DS is 16 with aspergers and he still has no close friends just acquantances he still has to have the last word and will argue that he is right drives me and his sisters to distraction. army cadets is his life and he gets very angry if other kids mess around as kids do or they change things because the top brass say so its like he should be the commander in chief and then everything would be ok as it would be run as he wanted dont think there would be many in his group though:o Still I love him very much although at times i could cheerfully run away from him and sometimes there are moments when he shows us how much we mean to him and thats what keeps me going and i know other peoples attitudes need to change

Bargainbird - well I had thought of leaving them behind, but I think SServices would take a dim view!!! At least I would know that OH would be home at the end of each day, rather than at the end of the week. The violence I'm seeing in DS1 surprises me all the time. x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Evening All

DS did a good job on the garden for me today especially the front garden the grass was up to my knees.
I used to do all the gardening and decorating - two jobs that DH hates but now I have problems walking he has to do it and I really have to nag him about jobs that need doing :(

Sitting with one leg in the air cos my foot and ankle are up like a balloon it ghas been up and down for a couple of days now, so it looks like a visit to doctor tomorrow. :(

beemuzed what was the result of DH's visit to the doctor?

marie I hope all fares well with your scan (((((Hugs)))))

Have been trying to get back on the straight and narrow with the diet and had strawberries from the garden this morning for breakfast (same tomorrow :) had so much home grown fruit this year :j)
Oh well I am off to read my new library book
    Sweet dreams everyone x

    Evening all!!

Lazy evening for us today, remember we had a free pizza on our account with dominoes so ordered that for dinner instead of cooking. (every little helps when you're skint!) not great for the diet, but all i've had to eat today is a hm sausage roll, slice of bread with peanut butter, pizza and a glass of wine....not good though

Pup just bought what looks like a 6 month old egg custard tart into the living room....no idea where he stashed that one! he likes to hide things, his favourite thing to do on a sunday is take l/o roast potatoes and put them in corners where walls meet at right angles....

    night night all!
