Welcome newbies.
Catznine - thanks for the warning!
My kettle has died  really annoying as I'm moving in with my friend in 6-8weeks and she has a kettle, so won't need mine. It was only a cheap Tesco one but I'll have to replace it with the same as I can't not have a kettle for that long! Typical. I'll donate it to work when I move then.
Flat all tidy, just having some breakfast now before hopping in shower

Bitsy....hope DS can get sorted. It is awful isnt it trying not to cry yourself:o. It makes DS worse if I cry as he panics that something must be really wrong if I cry too. I try very hard not to then end up sobbing when I come home.
Am trying to sort out everyday of the school hols so it is all mapped out for DS and he feels safe with his routine...it is hard going.
Someone coming today from city council child disability dept....they interview you every so often if your child is on disability register to see how things are going and to plan what the children will need in place in the future. Thing is she is coming between 11 and 1.30 so am stuck waiting.
HR dept at work have sent me a questionaire about why I left work and what I think about the place and any problems I had with management etc....I have not held back in my reply ;)
I am also looking into life insurance. I have a policy in trust for DS but that is just to cover him. Now that I have left work I am looking for a policy to cover DH and I....basically if anything happened to him DS and i are in trouble financially and vice versa....it is all very confusing tho0 -

About to hang out first load of washing and praying for a dry day as I still have tons to get through!
Bitsy - I hope you get to the bottom of DS upset, I really hope he isn't being bullied? My DS was having a terrible time with bullying and wouldn't say anything. He was terribly depressed for ages, then one day he came home late on a Friday with such a bruise I decided to go into school and speak to the teacher on the Monday. Stupidly I waited to the end of the day and when I got there my niece ran to me to say my DS had been choked unconcious by the bully at playtime. The schools response? A stern talking with the bully and MY DS had to stay in at breaktime from then on so they could be sure it didn't happen again -not the bully! I really regret not going to the police but at the time I was on anti-depressents and having councelling and I just couldn't cope.
Anyway enough of glum things! Have a great day everyone and I hope everyones aches and pains clear up soon x
That's despicable :eek::eek:
DS has just been sent home because he puked everywhere so at least I know why today he was exceptionally upsetSo disappointing though he couldn't tell me how unwell he felt though
DS does take to heart the things other children say, like how they won't play with him, why he can't join in - you know how vile kids can be aged 5  Plus the fact he doesn't have the right skills to join in their play as well yet so he tends to get upset about things.flutterbyuk25 wrote: »My kettle has died  really annoying as I'm moving in with my friend in 6-8weeks and she has a kettle, so won't need mine. Welcome New Peeps :hello:.

Bitsy, DS struggles to tell me when he is ill too.....his behaviour goes off the scale and then you dont know he is ill until it is really bad...like when he had bilateral ear infections recently...we didnt know until his temp was sky high etc and his ears must have been killing him for days:eek:...he did tell school that he felt like there were worms in his ears tho apparently!
The not knowing how to be friends etc is a hard one.. DS has terrible difficulties understanding the whole social goings on and even things like someone bumping into him when they are going out of the door at breaktime upsets him as he insists they did it " by purpose" as he says:o
The PDA has added another dimension to that too.
I am waiting for 2 books to come in the hope I can help him
He worries about absolutely everything and gets himself in such a state...am hoping this can help

and this to help with his temper
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1433801345/ref=oss_product
I am still looking for a book to help him understand friendship etc..it is a bit of a tall order...teaching him social skills is hard as he just does not get it at all.0 -

Jannyannie. I sorted a will the same time as I put life insurance in trust for DS.
The confusing thing with life insurance is everywhere is telling me it is usually for covering a period of time until your chldren are financially independant...well that is never going to happen with DS so how long do I do it for? Am looking into whole of life insurance..that might be the one.0 -
Oh and I dont like Robbie Williams either...hate his smug arrogant face he always does:mad:....it needs a good slap0

Bitsy - do you live in my house? My boys were up before 6 this morning. By 6.50 DS1 had phoned my parents sparking a huge bout of worrying on their behalf. Then at 7.20 he dialed 999. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR After the police very kindly phoned back to check everything was OK I let fly - I hope he'll think twice before touching the phone ever again - even if it is in an emergancy! However, just in case I have spent some time this morning clearing out a cupboard and moving a phone. The kitchen will be blitzed this afternoon and the hall. Then when they get home I'll get them tidying their rooms! I'm considering taking them for a prearranged trip to the police station so that they can have a talking to from a police man. .......... Put the fear of god into them I hope.
On the plus side they are now in school so not my concern for a few hours!!!! I have eaten all the chocolate eggs I made for a friend for Easter (so no WW meeting for me this evening then!); and I have managed to find loads of books, bric a brac for the school fair. Anyone live near Junc 25 of the M1 - OH is working down there - and with DSs behaviour am seriously considering moving! Whats it like?
Hugs to those in need - and calming cups of tea to those (like me,) who have steam coming out of their ears!!!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0
