More fool her.. I'd have hit him with the pan and thrown the soup at his head..
OP.. I hope he is being made to do dinner tonight.. and don't forget you need him to watch the children and get them to bed because you HAVE to do the food shop today (it does take 3 hours to buy 2 loaves and 4 pints of milk!!!)
She was quite downtrodden at the time. Long complex story but she ended up seeking solace in alcohol and in the end we had to have a bit of an intervention as she was turning up to school to collect the kids drunk.
Last time I saw her she looked amazing, she was wearing make up and seemed a hell of a lot happier. I'm guessing she doesn't let him get away with it quite so much now.0 -

On the way home she'd said she needed him to go to Tesco as she needed pads. He pulled up in the pickup point, looked at her and said "While you are in there can you get me some 'poorly soup' because I don't feel well"! She hobbled her way around Tesco, and when she got home he beat her to the sofa and demanded she cook his soup. There he stayed for a couple of days being 'ill' while she recovered.
She didn't tell any of her friends about this until much later or I think we would all have turned up en masse and evicted him from the bloody sofa.
She's still with him he's a pillock.
OP your OH's behaviour is selfish and unaccceptable to say the least. Now he's ill please don't look after him:mad::mad:;)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Are there some womenfolk near you (family, friends) you can better rely on?:D
I know it may not be relevant in this case, but I think it's true that men generally don't find it easy to ask for or get time off work in situations like this?
It must be a nightmare being ill and lookng after a little one who's also ill and miserable! You can only do what you can do. Hope you're both feeling better now0 -

If Poppyjay had been in an accident while DRIVING to a+e with CHEST PAINS and sickness then her partner would have had to take time off work permanently to care for the kids.
Hope you are feeling better now Poppyjay.0 -
